. . . . . No, it is an augment companion. It doesn't fight and cannot be attacked. I cannot wait to get mine later today! This had been my favorite companion for a CW in the Beta Weekends.

Good deal! I didn't think so but had to be sure since it list having HP. Playing a GWF and being dps focused I see the stone as a opportunity to get more out of my character. I'll get mine tomorrow when I get paid.

I got this stone two days ago for my CW. With the correct buffs, the stone brought up my stats significantly and I was able to sail through the levels with my new character with little difficulty. I had the companion early in the game too (before lv16). Awesome! Of course, the "drawback" is that the enchantment slots, once bound, required hefty AD costs to unbind, so I waited for quite a while to acquire stones that are at least rank 5. Of course, for more visual players, the stone probably won't look as cool as the Acolyte of Kelemvor, not as resplendent as the Phoera, nor as threatening as the Tomb Spider :)

Anyone that doesn't have either a blue Ioun stone or the cat, fully upgraded / leveled and geared, is gimping himself and their team tremendously. No character is complete without either a stone or cat. Simple as that.

It can, however, fall off ledges.
    Waiting for paladins...
