Early Access and Launch

So the game is set to Launch this thursday! Which is awesome! Does that mean that early access for the founders pack started yesterday, and guardian pack starts tomorrow?

I am curious if the new class(s) will be/is live for those players. I would like to play the new class, but it seems so silly to get early access only to have to reroll when the game officially launches on Thursday. Does anyone know?

    There will be no wipes. Early access started months ago when open beta began.

    Early access was for the Open Beta which has been going on for awhile now. There will be no character wipe at "Launch" and no new classes have been announced for Launch. However, Module 1 will have at least 1 new class and will be released "Summer 2013". So, sometime between Launch and the end of August I presume.

    So. Youre telling me this game launched months ago and I should have been playing this whole time?

    I hate everything.

    You'd probably hate more if you'd bothered to play this bug ridden <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> fest :) Stay away IMO - launching in 3 days and still full of a ridiculous amount of bugs / unfinished content

    After discovering that there is no more clearing of any data, character wipes, refund Zen, or anything else, I searched the forums about 'Early Access' to the game. Yet, that was after I discovered that I like the game and wanted the advantages of Hero of the North package. Having played other MMO's, having early access gives a nice advantage. Normally, data is cleared at Launch and stuff earned during Open Beta is lost.

    Perfect World is extremely clever. They got me to purchase a product, which has many advantages, with bad information advertising the product. They have taught me to research any product they sell before making a purchase. Launch, soft launch, started April 25, 2013. No early start advantage. Exclusive drow race, sounds like it will be available to everyone in the future. Yet, the nice weapon received makes the starting levels super easy (if you got a 'Hero of the North' player in your group and your under level 20, expect them to do a lot of damage.) Since I like alts, it is nice to have the extra slots, but would have been cheaper to just purchase them with Zen (most likely, I will get more.)

    From the short time that I have been playing, I really like the game. I see the bugs and lack of polish. After 8 years, I think it can be far better than other MMO's out there.

    I still plan to have fun with this game. I just wish I was told what I was purchasing before I purchased it.
