Interesting idea, actually. I invoke daily with eight characters and I have been getting one blue ward per week, but I think that was lucky. Selling boxes at 20k seems more stable income. Do they typically sell fast at that price?
FWIW, I think you're about on par. I'm 5 for 44 on blue wards.

Haven't really been doing it long enough to be sure - it could be that the price is steadily dropping and I just jumped on the bandwagon at 20k. Probably need a couple more weeks to see if there's a pattern. /shrug
It's such a pointless mechanic, making you lose all your coins if you don't invoke for like 24 hours or w/e.
It doesn't even work properly, I invoke ALL of my characters the same time every day and just logged in to have it say "Your celestials coins have been reset to 0" when I know for a fact I invoked this character like 3 times yesterday.
What's the point of this mechanic? It's still a DAILY, if you don't log in for 1-2 days you're missing 1-2 days of progress right there, so it punishes you anyway, so why then do you lose the **** coins? WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THAT? To randomly HAMSTER people off?
So, because you are incapable of understanding how to log in every 29 hours to collect your reward for doing so everyone else should lose theirs. Typical entitled attitude.

I invoke all my characters every single morning.
I invoked said character 3 times yesterday the last before going to bed, and I woke up this morning and it's all gone.

That is how that worthless developers want to deal with people and make them to place the money in their pockets...The game is completely bugget even for beta!Nothing is working correctly in that game...every time the game crashing...even simple things is unstable...how they programmed that game?Randomly?Without thinking anything?only how to take money from the people? And the horses in that game costs like the real ones in some countries...rediculous!They think that every person have 16-32 gb RAM..and game is crashing every time when i change the maps..the game is not have memory drop! You can stuck under the map if you fell! The Auction generating bugs and throw unknown erros in last minutes...even updates throwing errors some times...they fixing bugs with bugs! The whole game is disaster...its will be beta for 2 years if its going like that!

And as explained clearly in my previous post, the downside of not logging in is already built in: If I can't or don't log in, I don't get a Celestial. As illustrated with a clarity one could only describe as crystalline in nature, the system is already perfectly self-regulating without the need for imposing the additional penalty of removing previous rewards.
If I don't log in, I don't get a coin. The minimum number of days required to accumulate the coins is seven, but it might take me longer -- which would be fine, because that would be on me. I accept that it took me ten or fifty days to get seven coins because it was in my own hands to get them in only seven. The only problem is, the game says it's seven consecutive days or bust. It's this last part and only this last part that sensible people find a bit odd and unnecessary.
It really is quite a simple matter and so I hope this clears things up for you.
There's two different coins. Two different systems. Having the exact same risk / reward for both coins is pointless.
I guess your problem is that you can't log in every day so you want the system that doesn't work for you removed?
I invoked said character 3 times yesterday the last before going to bed, and I woke up this morning and it's all gone.
Back to your bridge.
So, because an extremely rare bug occurred, which so far has only been mentioned twice, they should remove a system that is reasonable? I think not, just fix and move on.
To Neverwinter developers...are you silly? Why you create ability for rogue to throw knifes from nowhere, and they with knifes making damage biggest than CW with arcane, what are they?wizards too?And the Great Sword have ability to hit you from 4 directions and you can't move nowhere how?The GS are wizards too?!Then The Control Wizards is the most failure characters in the Neverwinter and you are completely brainless cause you can't create some stability on characters and every time some of them is too OP!Why i must to have CW when the other characters have magic powers too?and with 3 hits they can crash me,the CW dont have any protection from damage like others and they even can't be invisible...i just wait for Elder Scrolls online to play with wizard because CW here is like a joke,in dungeons one hit from miniboss and you are dead and my gear is almost 8600 and like i see the powers of CW is too low and the most damage which can be done every time is from rogue and nobody else!
imo the problem isnt the daily login, nor the loss of the coins... the problem is... at least on my side... the 24 + 5 hours between the invokes... why not just make it once per server day... i dont have time everyday at the same time to log in... one day i can log in the morning ... the next day in the evening... that makes.... MORE THAN 29 hours... so i logged in and still lost my coins...
next day i can again log in the morning.... as it havent been 24 hrs since last invoke.... i dont get a coin.... again lost a coin....
what a crappy system!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i play other games where u have to log every day... including other PW games.... where the login timer is set to serverday not to ur last login.. there i never missed out on rewards except i really CANT LOGIN FOR A WHOLE DAY
just my 2 cents
Thank you.
In my part of the world a day begins at midnight and ends at midnight 24 hours later. I could be wrong but isn't that pretty clear cut definition of "daily?"
Why complicate things?

It's a simple daily login bonus. I've got no idea how it's causing this much fuss. /confused
Some people will literally complain about anything.
There was a scientific study that was conducted a while back where they handed out free money, and people complained about the way the money was folded.
It was a bunch of dollar bills folded into really small triangles, and people complained the free money they were just handed was too hard to unfold.
Ever since I saw that I have not given too much credence to complaints.

the system is self regulating and is their already in the ardent coins...this ist he whole point of the 2 coin system your system for your play time is in place in the form of ardent coins... the 2nd system is to reward the people that log in every day... its 2 different systems for 2 different types of rewards for two different types of players... The 2 systems work together just fine. Log in 4 days in a row but cant the 5th thats fine you earned your 5 ardent coins and get to keep them but you lose your celestral coins because you failed to do the task.
System A) Ardent coins: task log in and pray. Reward: cool little stuff to buy with coins when you obtain enough.
System Celestrial coins: task Log in every day for a week and pray. Reward: neat little things to buy with your coins.
System A is your style of play obv. you are not doing the task for system B. why should you get to keep your reward if you are not doing the task... hope this clears it all up for you.

The system is working as intended. The purpose of the design is to keep you logging in on consecutive days. Should you fail to do so, for whatever reason, the system will punish you by taking them all away. That is the entire purpose of the system. We don't get to change it because we don't like it.
Some people will literally complain about anything.

Amazing ! While you don't link actually the source, i still fully believe it's true. We keep getting contradicting complaint.
"Reward more the effort but make it easy to get stuff for casual player"
"don't give the advantage to the players to buy epic items but don't make them BoP i won't be able to sell them."
"Make epic item more unique, but you should increase drop rate so everyone is not affected by bad RNG"
So if a certain powerful Diety created the Perfect Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, and it was flawless in every way, someone will complain that there's nothing to complain about? Talk about a "no win scenario"... or about that person who is literally impossible to satisfy...
*sings* "I like Gammera! He's so neat!!! He is full of turtle meat!!!"
"Hah! You are doomed! You're only armed with that pathetic excuse for a musical instrument!!!" *the Savage Beast moments before Lonnehart the Bard used music to soothe him... then beat him to death with his Fat Lute*
So if a certain powerful Diety created the Perfect Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, and it was flawless in every way, someone will complain that there's nothing to complain about? Talk about a "no win scenario"... or about that person who is literally impossible to satisfy...
Never we said this game is flawless, we said that every single change in the game or current aspect of the game will be targeted by complaints whether it's generally considered good or bad. For the celestial coins, the advantage of being able to get to 7 celestial coins is far from being game breaking or a necessity. For about 2 months praying daily on 2 character i had 1 coalescent ward and junk. While i managed to make enough AD that would have allowed me to buy maybe 20+ coalescent ward this month.
You log once per day to maybe indirectly increase your AD income by 2,5% per month. It's not like your deity charges you 2.5% of your Ad income because you didn't pray enough this month. Because a minority of people can't have access to small bonus in game, should we really remove all those small bonus they give us when someone can't manage to have them, because it's unfair otherwise ?
It's like saying:
" I need to log off week day at 10pm and your dungeon delve is always at 11pm on the week day, i can't afford people have access to the chest because i have to sleep for my job early in the morning, they have an unfair advantage over me. Please make it so even i go to sleep at 10pm you deposit an epic item in my inventory because i would totally do it otherwise. I should not be penalized because I'm working early."
EDIT: not against you lonnehart, my bad for using your quote.
What I was saying was "What if someone made a game was so flawless there was nothing to complain about?". Someone out there will still find a reason to complain about it... and they'll do so loudly.
There's always someone out there who will never be satisfied... for example an old man who keeps complaining about his steak in a restaurant. No matter how much the cook tries to cook it to his specifications, the old man will still be unsatisfied with the result.
Woke up this morning and lost them all, so it's definately broken.
This bug is still around. Twice I've lost 6 days worth of celestials even though I logged in within the grace period. It was somewhere in the ballpark of less than 20 hours between the checks.
It's such a pointless mechanic, making you lose all your coins if you don't invoke for like 24 hours or w/e.

It is to encourage you to log in everyday which is a sound strategy to keep players playing Neverwinter.
I for one can't wait to see what rosy9huh has to say next.
On topic, annoying as this mechanic is, I agree that the punishment of losing your accumulated coins is there entirely to encourage you to log in.
Ardent coins are a long-service reward, celestials are an eager-beaver reward.
That is the whole point, and without that inherent risk they might as well do away with the whole celestial concept and just let you spend ardents on ward boxes (which we would, because let's be honest: the angel is going to be rubbish, isn't it?)

I've never liked this mechanic, so I completely ignore it.
It's one thing that always annoyed me with Cryptic games: they put you on a timer, so it's X amount of time after you do something. Unlike other MMOs where it's a daily, weekly, whatever reset so that it doesn't matter if your schedule fluctuates, it's reset the same time every time.

There are two parts of the invoke. There is the decay version, this gives you up to 7 and you can spend it. This is what I consider a bonus daily. If you do it everyday, you can get some free enchantment (require 7)
The main invoke daily is ardent coin. This WILL NOT decay and just get 1 per day. I think the highest item is celestial angel which is 360 coins.
