Why hasn't this thread gotten stickied, yet???

    /bump

Because the "what 20 things would you change" thread is basically congruent with this topic.

Maybe I made the title so unreadable that nobody wants to sticky it. :)

And I really really hope class balance is addressed in the upcoming patch. Ever since hitting 60 with my GWF I've been wanting to reroll, and I think I will. Actually it might be a good thing since I've been spending time learning the foundry. Read this to see what I mean.

    More armor and weapon models.

Less static classes. i.e. being able to choose fighting styles, two weapon or single weapon warriors with out a shield. Mages with staffs and not a freaking ball. etc.

Welcome to Perfect World's buissness model. Its worse in Champions online where every thing comes from a drop box and they drop like rain from everything, even more than normal drops.

There are a number of these that we are addressing in the content patch Andy was talking about, though not always address as suggested. Not going to get detailed here as not not spoil the surprise of delicious patch notes.

It would be nice to hear something more than "coming soon" or "please be patient". At this rate people are getting more irritated than patient. I just downloaded Marvel heroes off steam... new f2p game... seems it will be taking my attention more than "being patient" or waiting for the "soon" approach.

I think its about time we get to hear something solid, unless of course there is nothing solid to hear.

some things i have noticed being a pen and paper dnd player that devs seem to have overlooked

this is only from a tr standpoint as its the class i have played so far

real game classes are needed with epic paths available at lvl 20 and paragon paths at lvl 40. as such then different people will obviously have very different builds from the start

allow ability scores to cause adjustments. for example if you have a 20+ dex your armor class is going to be way higher then a leathers 15

why don't we have ranged weaponry, the enemy does

why is every quest a basic crash and bash, no one cares about traps or secret doors or any other basics that make the game more fun because they can just move by them

a rogue is a specialist or is just a thief, while here its just a sneaky fighter, and no rogue in his right mind would try to go toe to toe with a shielded plate wearing enemy

i know mmos are made for the masses but cant we make it close to being the game and not a pretty paint over of another mmo

You need to eliminate the whole "need/greed". My reasoning is such: most items that drop are "unidentified". If an item is unidentified, a player can't honestly say he/she "needs" it, since they don't know if it is better than what they have already. Ironically, it seems the honest players hit "greed" on such items while greedy players hit "need". A better idea is a simple automatic random roll among those players who can use the item. If it's an item that no player can use, then it defaults to a random roll for everyone. This would eliminate ninjas and decrease acrimony among players.

PS. Please don't give me the lame argument that you have alts that can use the item. If that's the case you should be running your alt through the dungeon.

I'd like to see a change or addition to your pvp system. As it stands, it seems to really be just like every other mmo out there: more-or-less "capture the flag". How about a pitched battle where it continues until all players on one side have been eliminated? Or add a "duel" mode where it is just one player v. one player. My problem with your current system is that it seems less "pvp" than "let's gang up on one member of the opposing team and gang-gank them". This is cowardice and proves nothing about one's pvp ability. It's no challenge to take out an opposing team member when you've got 2,3, or 4 people ganging up on them, then bragging to one another how great they are.

I agree with you completely. In d&d rules, a rogue can use many weapons other than merely daggers. Where are the bows/crossbows? Throwing axes? Why does stealth have a time limit? In any other mmo I've played, I've been able to stealth across an entire area as long as I stay out of combat.

While we're on the topic of rogues, why is it the fighters always seem to whine that rogues are too powerful? No matter which mmo I've been on this is the case. When the truth is: you fighters just seem to assume that because you're a fighter you should be automatically entitled to dominate in combat without actually putting any thought or effort into your build and learning the strengths/weaknesses of your various abilities and how best to utilize them. FIGHTERS - STOP BEING LAZY.

1: I would like to see some open world PVP styling added to the game. Something similar to SUN or Warhammer. Make areas in open world that have quests or whatnot that are PVP areas.
2: Expand the world, I feel the open a map click the location then just appear there is sort of an old concept. Let us explore the world of neverwinter ore make the areas we can explore alot larger. (ESO will be open world and will more than likely steal buttloads of playerbase).
3: Castle sieges... Would be nice addition.
4: Less moneygrabbing more listening to the community of beta testers as to their concerns.

    Regards...

An option to Deposit Astral Diamonds into the Guild bank so the guild can purchase the slots together rather then one person having to play the auction house and purchasing them. just as if you were depositing them to buy zen it stays in that bank system when deposited into the guild bank the astral diamonds would not be able to be removed.

FYI: There are now patch notes for the balance patch here.

It would seem many of the issues mentioned in this thread and elsewhere have been fixed. I won't remove anything for now, but when the patch goes live I will remove the parts that are no longer necessary. Thanks for participating and let's keep it up for the next balance patch. =)

You can transfer AD and Zen to other chars on the same account using the astral exchange.

Also, repeat task in the professions tab. So many clicks to gather materials.
Be able to cancel a profession task though the gateway.
Be able to see how many bids an item has in the auction house (not just on your own).
Be able to sort by buyout or bid amount in game like you can through the gateway.
More sort options in general for auction house both in game and in gateway.

I would like to see the World Map be more interactive. We should be able to zoom out to see areas we have come from and we should have a clear marking of the areas we are in and a standard marking (a red diamond, perhaps) as to how to find the way out of there back to Protector's Enclave. Opening your map in this game is basically useless if you aren't looking for something in your immediate area.

If I join any queue with 3 people or more, the chances of us receiving party leader is zero. This is bad and needs to be fixed. Party leader should always go to majority.

I updated the OP a little, but haven't had the chance to actually play much yet and see the changes. So if you spot anything wrong with it, leave a message and I will fix it. And thanks for your continuing contributions.

I also did the unthinkable and changed the title to better reflect the thread. The old one was very confusing and not too precise but I'm not sure if it even affects the title shown in the forum. :)

I have the exact same issue with my cat companion. I want to transfer it from my TR to my GF, and the game acts like it will let me do that, but when it comes time to pay AD to unbind the cat, the operation fails and it remains bound to the TR.

In-game money (copper-silver-gold) is quite worthless except to buy normal mount at lv 20 and the occasional magic item (which we get loads of from monster drops). Perhaps better and higher tier items can be available for sale (game balance wouldnt be too affected since their true potentials will be unleashed thru runestone enchantments. Besides the prices can be raised)

I still want a longer auto log out time. I am not giving up on this. It takes me longer than 15 minutes to do anything and I don't like returning to the PC to wiggle the wsad keys. Makes me want to stop mmo'ing and go back to consoles.

I also want people to update or improve their graphic drivers. I'm playing on a crappy old vista yet I don't d/c not even once. I would bet money the people who are complaining about d/c are not PC savvy enough to get their system game ready. It doesn't take a lot of research to figure out how to upgrade a graphic driver - they're free you know!

I'm sick of people complaining about this game. I'm having fun. You are all starting to sound like a bunch of babies. And I don't mean those with good beta constructive criticisms.

I want a suggestions thread on these forums.

People complaining and complaining and complaining about lag and d/c but probably not once have they tried the instance switch at the bottom of their maps to go to a less populated instance. Here's what I want from the devs. Instead of auto placing us in the most populated servers when we log in or after a zone can you auto place us in the least populated servers instead?

I'm not happy with the profanity censor on the forums but I don't care overmuch.

Otherwise I like the game just fine so far. I don't really have any complaints. I liked the zombie invasion event. I like that people can make their own dungeons. I like the quests. I like the easy crafting (so far). I like that you can craft on the website rather than log in.

Occasionally I get bored in the solo dungeons. I'm paranoid about drinking my potions all gone so I spend way to much time running back to the magic camp fire. This is no one's fault but my own. During these boring moments I think that it would have been nice if Neverwinter was an extension of Dungeons & Dragons Online. DDO was nicer visually (esp the night sky and sunsets) but it's dungeons were always a painful social mush pit. In that game I was always thinking I wanted to get away from people. In Neverwinter I have the opposite problem. I keep thinking I don't have anything I can do with other people. But I'm only level 11 so that might change later.

You've experienced nearly nothing in the game at level 11. Later everything is party based. There's hardly anything you can do solo. (Other than foundries)
