This quest is crazy, i have tried everything but the final boss is so strong i cannot figure out what to. Any companion are uselles, they die as soon as the boss begins to strike, a friend wizard tried to help me but he generated so much agro that he was dead as soon as the big-strong addon that helps the boss appeared (that thing can kill you with 1 hit!!!!)

any ideas please????

I have no idea what "Nowhere to Hide" is, and looking it up on the Wiki they don't seem to have it?

as said can you explain which zone and what fight that might be more accurately? Not that it matters: there are only 2 fights...
1) kill the adds first (usually big slow melee boss)
2) kill the boss first (usually casting, or ranged, boss)

if you only tried one of those strategies, try the other one?

I am not afraid to admit that I have had to kite, cat & mouse, and use other cheap tactics on a few bosses. Stealth and run as far as you can to take multiple potions in a row, bait & switch helps with that as well. Culling the weak works too (split one mob off the pack, kill it before help arrives) --- here again bait & switch and stealth can help split one off from the herd.

This quest seems to be the last solo quest of rogue. This quest is given by your "mail friend", you have to enter a house in protector's enclave and find the traitors who want to kill lord never.
You need to kill groups of mindflyer Mastermind-Scourge-Ustilagor all over the place, but this is not the problem, this part it's not long, the problem is the final boss: He's a mindflayer rogue (He'' hit for 4-7K with his daggers and then he does the Mind Flayer disorient), plus various brain beast. I can only kill the "little brain ads" before it appears a Brute bigger than the boss, and both do AOE so the only thing i can do is run...run...run...heal me....run...run...try to hit... run again and heal me.... and this is if i'm lucky because they do so much damage, that they kill me with 1 or 2 hits

I've been struggling with this one as well. End boss is behind a 'portal', which means you can't bait and switch and run out of range back the way you came (I haven't tried looking around to see if there are any other places to get out of range).

Even going in with full stealth plus the daily stealth enhancement and trying various tactics, never got this boss down to even 3/4 before I go down.

I figure I'll come back to this with a full party of guildies at some point to finish it.

Ah, I see what you're talking about. I never even attempted this. Once I hit 60, I was done with quests. :D

Okay, so I went to go do this. I actually killed him the first time, but then was overrun by adds. The second time I just got gangbanged by boss/adds. The third time was the charm. Fortunately, the adds take some time to respawn; so if you die and run back, you can attack him for a bit before they come back. So what I did was ditch my dazing strike and bait-and-switch for my cc/aoe abilities (smoke bomb and path of blade). I just beat on him with Sky Florish (because duelist's fury is HAMSTER when facing multiple enemies), and once the adds came on, I used smoke and path of blades and lashing to kill them. I just ignored boss and hulking thoon until I killed everything else. It took a while and some potions, but it worked. Then once you have the two slow bosses, it's much easier to dodge their attacks and finish them off.

So basically it's just one of those fights where you focus on the little critters instead of the big guys. Those little brain-monster things will kill you in seconds if you don't focus on them.

I went in with full "LOL I'm in stealth you can't hurt me" mode.

I had a cat companion, so it won't aggro anything. I hit stealth as I approached, then Lurker's as I got into base contact, and just burnt down the boss with flurry spam. If you approach without activating any attacks most mobs will just stand there like dunces and let you kill them without casting AoE's and such.

Once that ran out is when things got interesting. I had blitz/B&S/shadow strike. You can fill your AP bar pretty fast if all those little buggers are wailing on your target dummy, then smash them with whirlwind of blades and blitz. and the hulk is easy once you have him by himself.

I solo'd idris on normal difficulty, and that was MUCH harder than this chump. I ran probably a mile kiting the aboms through the pillars at the bottom while I picked off the archers and small casters.

That was annoying. The usual mindflayer fight:
1) drop the braindogs, they have a very very hard hitting attack.
2) drop the goons (infiltrators? scourges? whatever it is)
3) beat boss to death while avoiding the big slow thing
4) kill big slow thing last. Is hard hitting, stay away.

This took me a lot of running around and 4 or 5 potions. But I got it first try with this approach. I used bloodbath twice, and as you are immortal in that, used to to down 2 pots effectively back to back.

I managed it on my fourth attempt using shadow strike, path of blades, smoke bomb, spamming sly flourish when in stealth and using lurkers assault for more stealth. I could also see you adding bait and switch in there somewhere for or a more or less perma-stealth build. Also used sneak attack and invisible infiltrator to help with the stealth. Basically kite as much possible and when in stealth kill 1) any mobs 2) main boss 3) tank. it might also help to have cloud of steel for a little extra dps while keeping your distance.

Be sure to manage cd's and don't use b&s or shadow strike if your stealth bar is almost full or if your in lurkers assault, that way you could mostly stay in stealth all the time. If you're ever caught out of stealth or no more cd's that is when you pop smoke bomb and leg it :p

Basically the exact same strategy as pinkfont cept with shadow strike instead of bait and switch :) mostly for cd

I don't remember the quest.
I don't recall having any problems finishing all solo content to 60 once I started using Gloaming cut (feated 10 points in top tree) + Shadow Strike or Bait & Switch.
Just stay stealthed the entire time & gloaming cut the adds & boss to death while they stand there doing nothing.
Pretty boring but gets the job done. There were a few mobs that would put down & AOE or something here and there even when stealthed, just dodge it & go back to cutting away at them.
If you have a non stone/cat pet out dismiss it or the mobs will start attacking it which in turn may hit you.

I don't exactly remember how everything went down, but from what I remember, I did everything from stealth. The boss is pretty frail, but hits very hard and he's got a whole bunch of annoying adds. I don't know if this still works, but I tried to stay in stealth as long as possible and every time I saw that my stealth meter was about to run out and before becoming visible, I went back behind those rocks at the entrance of the cave and waited for my stealth meter to refill. For some reason the boss never followed me there. If you have Invisible Infiltrator (class power), your dailies will refill your stealth meter. Smoke Bomb might come in handy too. I hope that helps.
Good luck!

tough fight. i used path of blades and just ran around and around until my pots cooled down and the daily where you throw your blades out in a circle and get bonus damage to tear everything down. took two tries.
