How to farm a respec token in 12 hours.(ore less)

So i thought i would share this idee i had today with the community.

So today i started a new char, and when i entered the blacklake district, the skirmish event was happening.
So i qeued for the skirmish to make some AD (like hiy why not right?), i think i was lvl 6 at this point.

Then i noticed, hell this skirmish is peanuts easy and fast, and u make 1000AD a run while skirmish is active, so i started repeating to run it. Eventualy i had around 10kAD in like 30 min ore so. So i started to check the time it needed to run this skirmish and did some math's.

I started with 4 min per run = 1000 AD
atm its around 180k AD for a respec token.
So basicly i concluded that u need about 11hours +- of skirmish running this blacklake terror event to get a respec token.

However on my last run the skirmish event had 4 min left when we entered, and we completed it with 1min 30 seconds left. And i am pretty confident that if u made a team to run this (4cw 1 rogue would be ideal) that all know the drill sort of speak, u can cut this time to 2min. So bascily it would be posible to get a respec token in about
5hours 30min give ore take.

I realise this sounds like a dull task, but i enjoyed it a lot because i was threating it like a little mini game finishing the skirmish in the shortest timeframe posible, and i clocked 2min 30 sec in a public. So with a fun group of people that enjoy min-maxing things like this im sure u could do it better then i did. And there are some benefits to doing this.

pro's :

I dont know the max level for blacklake terror but at lvl 11 i could stil join, so finding that sweet spot to farm this could be an aditional min-max quest :)
1K AD per 4min(max duration i feel) is stil a lot compared to higher lvl AD farming, and i dont mean AH selling, this AD farming is asured when u run it.
U feel utterly overpowered, this skirmish is cakewalk, considering that the reward durring skirmish event is huge.
When u see skirmish appear on the event's agenda u go like "Yeay minigame time" and take out ure idle char for farming this :D

con's :

I imagine if u dont enjoy min-maxing this would become repetetive
other then that i dont see how u could make more AD in such a short timeframe.

I hope this helped some people out for making some AD, and maybe gave people a new mini-game to entertain themselves :o

If u are interested in trying to min-max this skirmish AD farm, send me a pm, im really curieus what the minimum time is for this skirmish with 5 people who min-max this sort of speak.

Enjoy -itheryel-

(i am on dragon server btw if ure interested to team up for this :) )

Cool idea.. i noticed this too. The problem is you out level it very fast. Forcing you to reroll over and over.

I wish they would fix level 60 dailies and make the reward happen have 1 run. 4 1 hour runs for 4k AD is just silly. I cannot imagine that many folks actually run the level 60 skirmish. The effort doesn't justify the reward at all.

level 60 daily and choice of skirmish needs to happen ! dreadvault skirmish is soooooo long and boring. rerolling a level 10 to farm ad seems a lot of effort :D

    Thanks I guess?

I am sure they will add this to the next patch so that you only earn 1k total :(

You will out-level it long before it really has much impact.

At level 60 I run the Aberrant Assault skirmish and it is doable in around 15 mins with a good team.

You're right, grind/farming for 10-12 hours is perfectly acceptable to afford a respec token for a game in beta that falls well short of providing accurate explanations of the skills/feats in the first place for classes that only have one paragon path available at the moment as well.

But you could cut grass or wash a car to get 6$ in less then 12hours.
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

Exualy u practicly dont level up in this skirmish, because mob xp is so poor, and u can enter it at lvl 6 (i dont know when u can no longer enter it, wil check this out laters when i do and update it)
But obviuesly to max the benefit and speed i think lvl 9/10 would be great because of the new weapon available at that time.

@ drizztstark, i know how u feel dude, i exualy screwed up my cleric and sold my dragon egg for 75k AD on the AH just to respec him out of broken paragon skills. However this threat is supose to give people a new minigame for making AD, not about unloathing about the things that are not functioning. If anything this should help u respec ure char faster?

So keep it clean and on-topic, maybe add improvements to this if posible.
Also @ the tinfoil, compared to AH selling items, this is peanuts. However IT IS freely accesible by everybody and easy to do without any requirements. Thats why i thought i post it here for other people to see if they enjoy doing this, and obviuesly if they wanna join my "blacklake terror min-max hero sqaud" :D, i really wanna know if u can get this down to 1min 30 sec etc...
Ow yeah drizztstark 12 hours is a very high MAX on this runs (4 min is really long for this skirmish go check it out u wil understand what i mean)

@ jetah Wel played sir. But would it be as much fun?

Thanks for the info, but I don't see this has being very viable before you burn out on the game or out level the skirmish.

I've been doing this for AD. Your good from level 6 to 11. When you ding level 12 you can no longer do blacklake.
I don't have a static party but in random parties I get about 8 runs in the hour and my best was 11 runs.
The fastest I have beat the event was 1min 39 sec. This was with some level 10-11 founders in the party.

yeah that panther is just wrong in there . I kept getting high damage even when level 10+ toons joined . On a level 7-9 GF . Its an easy way to get an alt to level 11 to involk and craft .

Get a minimum wage job and earn nearly 10 respecs a day. Get a decent job and earn a respec in minutes.

The thing with this plan is once you outlevel a skirmish you can't queue for it anymore. The lvl 60 skirmishes are boring, tedious and long (Aberration Assault?). And it takes forever to queue and only rewards like 3K AD (i can't remember). I guess you have to keep making a character, do the low level skirmish till it can't then somehow move the AD to another character, delete the character, repeat the process.

@ chrono from what i read here so far the max lvl is 11 (keep in mind this is not a fact i havent checked it myself yet)
and u can enter from lvl 6, considering the xp ratio mobs give this is A LOT of skirmish runs to say the least.

Also to transfer AD u just go to the "buy zen" tab at the top of ure page, and u request a ZEN VS AD trade at a ratio of 50 AD(obviuesly nobody will sell zen for 50 AD) then after u have requested this trade, u delete it, after this the "not spend AD" wil be on ure account wide AD balance to transfer to zen. (u can also withdraw it on a specific character if u desire, but i just keep all my AD piled up there, makes it easyer to see how much i have).

So even if u outlevel the skirmish, u could in theory transfer all the AD u gained to ure acount wide bank. (maybe i should do a testrun from lvl 6 to lvl 11 and see how many skirmishes it takes to get there?)

Does that still work ? I thought they fixed it. Also if you have AD on the zen/ad exchange it will use those AD in the exchange first not the ones in your inventory. I guess it works if your AD exchange storage is empty.

Obviuesly u exceed the required amount of AD u need so that it used the current exchange AD + the AD on ure character. Then u withdraw it all to ure exchange bank. In that way u lost the AD on ure character, and it is moved to ure exchange bank.
I dont really know if this is intented i figured it out on my own and i use it to pool my AD to buy zen stuff, since i play 4 characters it would be horible if i needed 180k AD on one char just to buy a respec token ore anything else for that mather...

Edit : We are going of-topic, i just wanted to sugest an alternate way of farming AD since the max lvl AD farm is so slow compared to this...

I don't think this works, the skirmish event was up and after 3d or 4th run i couldn't que up again until the event was over.

That's 12 hours not counting the time you spend waiting in queues or waiting for the Skirmish reward event to roll around in the first place. If this is your best way to earn a respec, you're better off starting a new character and respeccing the long/short/easy/hard way.

U can do it in half the time like i mentioned, u can also do it with a team of friends like i mentioned, and i also mentioned i thought of this like a minigame to make AD. Considering the time consumed to make the same amount of AD on higher lvl toons, u could just farm this hour of skirmish and then play dungeons for items...?
