What class(esa) is a Dwarf good for?

I know he's not for TR but what about the other classes. I've been playing a Dwarven DC but am not to happy with it. It's so slow especially when you've been playing a TR like I have. I only play PvE if that matters. Please don't post to tell me that he's good for all classes. What about the CW? GF? GWF? Any of them good to try?
Just to clarify I'm asking what class the Dwarf is better than other races in.

there is no race that is truely better at a class than anyone other race . but dwarfs excell at being ugly, having large noses and drinking beer.

I hear tell the dwarf isn't to bad as a GF. I still enjoy my Dwarf DC tho.

LOL! sockmunkey that is epic! Oh wait, that's what they said. Lol!
Thanks. I play a dwarf a lot in PnP but I don't get to play 4th edition because no one wants to pay for more **** books when the 3.5 we have work just fine. Plus my DM hates 4th for some reason :(
    But yea, EPIC!!

I bought all the 4th books, studied, hated it, decided to try running a game anyway, decided I really hated it, and broke out my 3.5 books again. On a completely unrelated note, I will sell you some cut-rate 4E books, if you're interested.

    Also: so, so saved, sockmunkey.

Dwarves make excellent Guardian Fighters and Great Weapon Fighters (they are also good Clerics, but you know that). I love dwarves so I'm making dwarf everythings.

I have a dwarf Trickster Rogue, who does just fine, and I'm thinking of making a dwarf Wizard. Sure, I'll have slightly less damage than a human or half elf, but it's so slight I doubt I'll ever notice it.

So don't be too worried about your stats, play whatever race and class you like, an extra 2% difference here or there really won't make much of a difference.

Dwarves are an excellent choice for all squishy classes and the tank. That said, I prefer dwarves as clerics and guardians the most, they excel in that field.

Thank goodness for Game of Thrones and The Hobbit. Dwarves are now popular again!
