Aggro Battlewise

New DC here. I see lots of ppl discussing Aggro issues but everyone's build seems to pass on taking Battlewise.

Is there a reason for passing on Battlewise if aggro issues exist?

Is Battlewise not working as intended?

Even with Battlewise is the aggro crazy so no point?

Any insight into this would be appreciate as a new DC... :D

    If you're good at dodging and keeping shield up. Nothing else matters.

    What about before you get shield?... That is usually where ppl have most issues...

    Probably should have specified.

    Would Battlewise help before you get Astral Shield?

    In a word, no. With maxed-out Soothe you should be getting 40% less aggro and DC's still generate a LOT (even using Mewbrey's aggro-bug-fix). An extra 6% will not do much.

    It can be frustrating as you're leveling up, especially if you don't have a set group of people that you play with, because a lot of players are not used to the way NW works -- i.e. gotta kill the adds, gotta keep them off your healer.

    However my advice to you would be, if you're really having trouble surviving, focus your gear on +Defense and, instead of Soothe, slot Foresight. If you're still having trouble, then drop Healer's Lore and slot both Soothe and Foresight. Damage mitigation will keep you alive a lot better than extra hit points or lower aggro will.

    You won't notice a difference with or without threat reduction. So why waste points on it? If it's not working as intended and PWE changes it, hopefully they have the integrity to offer free respec tokens.
