Psssst

Come here I have a secret.

/looksaround

You don't need those for endgame...you don't even need em for PVP as I have seen guys without them decimate those who had them.

There is a word...it's called.

optional.

Anyone dumb enough to p2w coalescents is well, HAMSTER. Thats more of a farm 2 win.

Plenty of better p2w arguments than that

And Storm that guys gear is pretty ****, even for not spending a dime.

1) spend celestial coins on the coffers of wondrous augmentation for a chance at a free ward guaranteeing success - get a chance at this every 7 days, per character.
2) buy one from the AH for about 100k AD - much cheaper than zen shop (due to #1)
3) ANYTHING in the zen shop is available without paying by use of the AD-->Zen exchange - this is really very cool, IMHO - I've played lots of f2p games and this is the first one that had a built in, fully legit way to earn cash shop items in-game.

There's ALWAYS gonna be p2w whiners in ANY f2p game. Get over yourselves already. First and foremost, the game is a BUSINESS. It wouldn't exist if there wasn't money in it. Be happy you have as many options as you do.

1% chance of success means that some people will be able to successfully fuse all their enchantments without ever needing a ward. Of course that's not true for everybody, but a bit of luck goes a long way.

Debunk this fact: A company needs to make money to pay staff salaries etc.

If you want everything in life for free you should look into becoming a homeless person living of the generosity of others. Quit it with the stupid whining of pay2win!!!

Not to mention you can buy coalescent wards on the auction house for a guaranteed success. They're only around 100,000 AD. That's not an outrageous price.

LOL, really? No it doesn't mean that. It means that ONE out of 100 people, IF they want to take the chance of losing their mats, will successfully fuse ONE. Not ALL their enchantments, ONE for their high level gear.

While I hear everyone's arguments above, this is definitely a P2W situation.

P2W is not an argument as long as there is a zen and AD exchange.

this is the first PWE game i played where i only have spent 50 euro for mount at my earlier levelling days.

Currently i earned over 10 mil AD doing delves and geared my CW with 6x greater tenebrous, plaguefire. Nightmare Dye , full T2 Armor and weapon.

Just by doing Delves.

Honnestly, the ones that paid for this game lost the most. The Guardian and Founder packs are making the economy the way it is. Those 2 mil and 600k Infusions to the economy made the prices the way they are. Because it takes 44 days or so to get 24k AD max refines to accumlate 1 million AD.

People who paid thought they would have a good headstart, but in the end the ones that play most and do Delves the most efficient won hardest.

OP has every right to point out a P2W in a game where the DEVS promised no P2W. Sure they have to make money. Other games do it strictly with cosmetics and do perfectly fine. This particular thing is P2W. If Cryptic/PWE wants to keep their word, this should change.

You can get wards through Celestial Coins

or buy it from someone who sells them in the AH

AD that you can farm yourself with tasks/dailies/grinding gear.

Spending lots of cash to get AD (which someone has to farm since you trade it for Zen) is only a lazy way to skip the grinding, and since you can't buy blue wards anyways (someone needs to get it), your whole argument is invalid.

The first plague fire I ever made I didn't even look at the success chance and I only put a green ward on it. Succeeded the first time.. Never really tried that again though after I realized the chance was 1%.
