Getting access to the Foundry from the game launcher

Manteinances, shards get down, exploits etc.
There are lots of "events" which cause players to wait and wait and wait for shards to get back online so....WHY THE HELL I CAN'T USE THE FOUNDRY WHILE I WAIT???
With that whole waiting time i would have already finished my 10 quests campaign, played it with friends, made the world play it, deleted it and successfully made another one...
So, don't ya think it would be lovely if we could use the foundry while we cannot play?...Lemme see what ya think.

    Yes it would be lovely, no it won't happen. When the shard is down, so is the foundry. In other beta versions it was on it's own server and there were all kinds of other issues with that (like having to publish your work then wait for the next foundry sever push for it to show up, etc). So long as it's on the same server they can't take one down without the other.

    I would be nice to go directly to the Foundry from the launcher. It would also be nice to have a logout feature that allows me to go from character to character or foundry without having to re-input my user name and password each time. You know, the only reason you'd logout without closing the program is to log back in on another character or the foundry, so why do we go all the way out instead of just to the select screen like nearly every other MMO.

    Would be a dream come true. I wouldn't even care when the servers went down. Hell, I might even look forward to it.

    The servers have daily maintenance because we're in Open Beta.

    The servers wont be going down every day when the game has its commercial release so it's not a going to be a future issue.
