The token should be tiered, am lv 60 i have no use for the xp stones, i rather run in horse back to town rather than using 4k ad on tp scroll.
As a lv 60 that token mean guano for me, i dont even have bank space to hold all those btc items.

How much time passed since WoW got its first raid?

Weren't Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair there from the beginning? Not to mention few 10-man raids.

I think there are a few names in here that had said during the down time Sunday..that they were Never coming back...guess the pack is good enough to change their minds...I for one think the response in this situation is very promising for the future of the game...to all the nay sayers...don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya...YES this is acceptable, c'mon man, they don't have to do anything...has anyone one seen my pirate hat?...i think a pickle stole it...

Since they were obligated to give us nothing, the pack is just fine.

No. Neither were. Patch 1.1 http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_1.1.0 - 10 mans were awhile after launch, DM was the next thing to open after the first raids.

I'm almost sure that there weren't, at least until the first two months.

Yes, MC and Onyxia were both available at release. Scholomance, Stratholme and UBRS were 10-man dungeons at the time (wouldn't call them raids.). But WoW was no longer in beta at that point. (It did not have PvP BGs, even though the manual that came with the game claimed differently. NW does have PvP arenas!)

Looks like your thread for a Catastrophe Day Survivor pack paid off :) Nice to know the devs think like we do.

I think they should make an announcement of whats coming in the first game update. Specifically what new classes, zones, raids etc that will be included in it. There's a large exodus of players going on and I think some info on what is around the corner just might be enough to make them stay, or at least come back when the update happens. These little bags are a nice gesture but there are a lot of people that feel this was not enough to compensate their time lost and are leaving/have left; a personal friend of mine included...

If a 7 hour rollback made those ppl leave my estimation would be that they were on the way out already. No saying they won't climb back on board later. I've read a gizillion posts claiming "I'm on the brink of dropping this game for good" and I just gotta say; spare your breath, relax and make your decision. I'm not complaining if the servers are relieved of some traffic or if I can go to this forum and read a thread without half the ppl posting there are badmouthing a F2P title that they themselves are playing. I just wish they would save themselves the trouble of being so negative and spend time on something they enjoy instead. Make babies or read a book (sorry for the OT).

This. They could just said they had to rollback because of exploit and say "deal with it". People would still play, some would rage quit on forums and be in game next day.

I'm glad you're simple-minded enough not to understand that when someone takes something away fron you you can try to get it back because it is legitimate. It should make your life easier if you don't see when people start ripping you off. :)

i wouldn;t mind them reducing some of the prices on the zen store it is outragously exspensive .. it would of been cheaper to subscribe than to pay some of the prices on there ..

i rant as i keep on running out of space and as a pack rat i need space .. and $10 for a simple backpack is just not worth the money as i do have to priortize my money as i do have bills and such

It’s accepted that churn is part of the industry. And looking at the success rate of MMO’s and habits of gaming customers, they aren’t wrong in treating it this way. It’s basically a cash grab, if people stay, bonus, if they don’t, no biggie, they made their money, move on to the next MMO.

It’s accepted that it’s not worth it to put out a 100% finished, polished product, there’s no guarantee it will succeed, better to put out a 1/2 finished, unpolished product, start making revenue asap, and call it an open beta. Odds are high a new MMO will fail, putting in 1/2 the time, putting out 1/2 the product, and getting money sooner to cover 1/2 the development costs is better than putting in 2x the time, putting out 2x the product, with no guarantee that you will make the money to cover 2x the development costs.

So even if this is the nature of the industry, I don't think it's an excuse for thinking it's ok. It's dysfunctional, the game play experience like Neverwinter is ruined by the development budget/schedule priority of money now, quality later.

And a cat cape is supposed to make this acceptable? It doesn't.

I'm going to have to say no for a few reasons. The time I lost due to the roll back, and having to spend that time again redoing all that was lost (around 12 hours) and the fact I used a key and got a Epic companion, when used after the roll back I recieved a rune pack instead. A cape and title are a pretty bad 'compensation package'.

Now, I would have said 'Yes, that is very good of them to do the compensation pack.' if they hadn't opened the cash shop during an Open Beta and do a full wipe of non-founder accounts at release.

well,i am thinking it was very nice of them to even consider giving us anything at all.
it's kind of uncommon in the game world these days to get "a nod" from the people behind the game.
in other games i've played, they might shut down for a whole weekend, then just say..."so sorry.
game back up now,we love you long time..you buy cat?"
thanks for a great game experience and a promissing looking future.

I figured as much. And that's why I'm going to continue to play for a little while, until another game releases, since I've already dropped a nice chunk of change on it.

However, I won't spend another dime on Zen, and I'll never play another Cryptic or PWE game.

Considering your overblown and laughable sense of entitlement, the personal attacks don't come as a surprise. :) Both are expressions of immaturity.

You didn't lose anything, you are not owed anything, no one ripped you off, and in the larger picture you are just as insignificant and irrelevant as the rest of us. It doesn't really matter what you (or I, or anyone else here) want. You can also stay and whine and throw fits, but that does not change a thing, except that you keep upsetting yourself. This is what it is and you can either suck it up or leave. There, I put it bluntly this time so that the point isn't missed a second time.

No, and frankly I am appalled that some people in a thread wanting "caturday survivor" titles were given what they want where there have been tons and tons of polls, and threads going around news sites, this forum, facebook, twitter and other forums in the gaming community asking for a wipe to clean ourselves up after we have been crapped on pw..

Bye guys.. and for the answers to all the questions coming in:

yep you can haz my stuffs
and yep i am mad bro
and yep i am a dumb individual for spending money on a PW game when they have an F rating with the BB.. stupid me for not listening to other consumers

Well considering they knew about this exploit when it first occurred over a year ago in Star Trek Online and it still made it back into this game no, the people responsible should be fired and maybe not allowed to use computers anymore

Not 10-mans. That was something they added much later when people got tired of trying to get 40 people together. Vanilla was only 40man raids. In TBC they did 25man raids and in WotLK they did 10man and 25man. But yes. I do believe those two 40-man raids were in the release game (or at least right after). Of course it is always give and take. For example, WoW didn't have battlegrounds for about 6 months.

    They were 5man. Just instances.

I don't blame you. I honestly think that this game isn't for anyone and most see it as an average powerleveling MMO. For other players its something they've been waiting a long time that has lots of small details that the usual MMO fan doesn't care, but for us FR fanbies it's more than enough to keep our interest up. Specially knowing that there are upcoming teasers and the game seems to be designed in a way that it will bear lots of Classes and Paragons.

It's also the first game where I've noticed that there's not a single buildpath in a class that works, some classes have actually lots of options already. Some may need tweaking though.
