I read the forums daily and i'm seeing less than 5% of posts getting a response, or even a general topic response. I'm almost done with this game. Anyone else?
Most of the posts are people letting off steam. The stickies cover a lot. I'd rather get one update a day than a bunch of little ones that would raise more questions personally

^This. They are obviously working on things, thats literally what they get paid to do.
Most of the forum mods are on damage control. If we got little less people whining and "I quit" threads maybe the mods could actual take a breath to work on their weekly list to submit to the Devs.

If you want devs to respond to more than 5% of posts (actually, to be realistic, more than 0.1% of posts), then you are done with online gaming.
100,000's of players. Dozens of devs, most of whom have other jobs. Do the math.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev
Im all for direct feedback. But take my job for example. I get a mail from a client/customer saying there is a bug in the production server software. I reply with a "I will look into it, and try to fix it."
Now I spend 8 hours digging in code to find the problem, try to fix it, if I cannot, open a case to the correct app engineer that can, type up a short summary so he can simulate it...all this while having no 'update' to give other than "I'm looking into it, no ETA".
Now I could mail the client every 30 minutes, taking time away from me working on it. to tell them basically nothing. Or I can do all I can, then give them a summary of what I found.
Now I get clients that do the same thing, mail me 40 times a day asking for a 'status update' from 30 different people. I Know they are just looking for some sort of progress indicator.
But unless I got new news...all they can get is a "We are looking into finding the source, if something showstopping happens from it let me know, I will try to work around it for you".
But to reply to every query on it, would make fixing it take longer, and be more tedious.
I know its not directly apples to apples. But a update of "we are working on it, will let you know" once..and 40 "we are still working on it, we will let you know".. doesn't give any new info. It just wastes time.

One post every couple days is enough to give me an update on what is up.

I'm guessing that they are not answering the question the way YOU want them to is the real issue... Else why not be more specific about your problem.

I love your brain.
