Having played a GF for a week, and both tanked instances and pvped, I've spent most the time in pvp and a few things I've noticed that are greatly overpowered that should be fixed, that would even the game out.
Rogues:
Need to be glass cannons. For the DPS they dish out they tank just as well and thats completely messed up.
CW/Clerics:
Reduce the LoS/Range of attacks. Being able to attack people from 20ft high walls and 20ft away is a stupid idea.
Reduce spell CD's so you have to think more tactical than just using your push then instantly disabling just to push them and repeat this until you have the base.
I feel sorry for you, your OP will get bashed by fanboys saying that everything is balance because it all comes down to pve and rogues are suppose to tank bosses while 2 healers and2 CW take care of adds GF and gfw working useless as intended you see?

Not everything is about PvP. And like PvPers, PvEers have a right to express their ideas. Calling a person a fanboy because they believe the game is balanced for PvE is nonsense. It just shows the maturity level of the vocal minority of the die hard PvPer.
Regarding PvE, no class is overpowered. Not even close. Buff the classes they need it, but no nerfbats need to be swung here.
I am curious as to the level of cognitive dissonance needed to be able to argue in the space of two sentences that no class is even close to OP, and also that Cryptic should buff the classes that need it?
And of course everything is balanced - that is why the default group for PvE end-game dungeons is TR/CW/DC, and the default classes for PvP are GF and GWF. (Note: I could be fibbing about the PvP part.)

I think they were trying to say that it's not that some classes are overpowered but that some are underpowered. It's a very old question in game design imo, do you buff up underperformers to where everyone else is, or nerf overperformers down to where everyone else is. IMHO it needs to be both mild mild nerfs and mild mild buffs that way no one is smacked down hard, and some get a power increase.
That said my mild comments are because I believe some things are bugs such as gf and cleric threat, and astral shield stacking. If these are not bugs then heavier balancing is required.
As far as the op's idea for limiting the range of cw attacks, no. The point of a ranged class such as a caster or archer is to be ranged.
I think the idea that things might currently be balanced is high comedy but I do feel for the poor devs on this one. Imagine getting the results from your analysis tool that report this class is balanced and this class is fine and the other class is quite strong but still in balance and then you get population number suggesting that All these parties are being made with no “tank”, that clerics are the kings of aggro and rogues are going mono-a- mono with the boss. Your forum admins are dropping posts detailing how underwhelming greatweapon fighters are in comparison to everything else into the staff forum.
What are they supposed to do? Clearly their measuring tools are giving them no direction. They are not about to take the word of a ravening pack of forum hounds. Recoding is out of the question and the moguls at PWE want a summary statement by the end of the week for their budget call. Tough road ahead for those chaps.
Bad code and lazy programming never pay dividends, never make life easier and always extract payment in time and energy either now or later. This work should have been done in the coding phase rather than using an off-the shelf engine. But since it wasn’t it will have to get done now with the game live and in motion.

If you want to balance it for PvP, do so by having powers work differently than than they do in PvE. Do NOT screw up PvE for the sake of PvP. Ever.

I've been stunlocked/skill locked/rooted for 80% of my HP in PvP matches with rouges, clerics and wizards. There is nothing I can do to stop this.
And yes, rogues facetank my GWF unloading on them; stunlock me then wreck my HP as if I'm not even wearing any armor.
My friend got so pissed last night he was rage screaming and almost uninstalled the game.
The PvP in this game is a complete afterthought; it shouldn't even exist.

Oh, and send over some donuts for that call.
Thanks.
