founder pack EU prchases

I purchased the guardian pack just before beta weekend 1, because I am in EU we apparently had to pay more than expected because of EU tax on top of the purchase price, in UK pounds sterling I think the hero pack was over

edited, it only posted half what I typed

post cuts off if I put a pound sign

....200 pounds, I have notice the price for the Hero pack is now only 160 pounds, I am curious to the sudden price change...

    Ok. Was this meant to be a pm? Your local tax laws are not something that anyone here can fix but...erm...fun fact? You weren't expecting things to be cheaper because your government taxes the **** out of you were you?

    It has to do with the VAT Laws.

    There's nothing Cryptic or PWE can do about it on their end. Your only recourse is to contact your government officials.

    This is actually something to report. Price to me was USD$200 (I don't live in the US). Unless there is some bug in the store that didn't convert it to Euro properly, you should have been charged the Euro equivalent of USD$200 (+VAT).

    I bought the Hero pack anyway but 199 dollar in Norwegian kroner was around 1100 NOK.
    When converted to pound it cost me around 1486ish NOK. I didnt bother since I'm loaded *cough*

    It's roughly 45 dollars extra more than likely.
    It should be roughly 189 Euroes which is 245 Dollars.


    EDIT - Note that the 189 euro fee is fixed so the price does fluctuate a bit with changes in euro:dollar rates.

    I was going to pay 60 doll for the founders pack, but when i realized i had to pay 56 euro i changed my mind.

    If i had a US friend i woulda sent him money to buy it for me

    The price shows up as 167.97 GBP for me a week ago it was 167.89 GBP

    nonsense, the system/differentiation is <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>. I live in a country next to the EU with hardly any vat, still i have to pay the higher prices with the higher vat in Euro which basically makes the game for me 20% more expensive than the usd priced - altough my own vat would even be lower than the us one...thats why im not gonna buy a package - i will not overpay something that is allready too expensive.

    Yeah i was intending to buy the HotN pack until i noticed i was being charged in Euros for a substantially higher amount even though we are outside of the EU, So i had to cut down and just buy the guardian package... still for a much higher price because im forced to pay in euros..
