Lurker's Assault - Daily - Feedback

This is simple feedback on Lurker's Assault power from the February Beta. This feedback is completely about the visual effect of Lurker's Assault.

There is not enough environmental feedback for me while the power is active. When you use the power it has a cool effect of highlighting the targets very well. It reminds me of Zero's ability in Borderlands 2, if you have played that. Unfortunately you loose core gameplay mechanics and tactical feedback you have become accustomed to, like the Red Outline of your current target, the Red circles on the ground for enemy special attacks, and you and your friends become white as well.

The Red Enemy Special Attack indicators are still there but they are a very washed out grey that is easily confused with the plethora of special effects going off. I suggest putting the red back in.

I would also like to see a color for yourself and friendly units. Light blue or something.

Overall it looks washed out and gives me the impression of being unfinished. Love the Power's Mechanics 'tho. :)

Go to 11:00, 12:24, 14:50 to see the power in action.

Thanks and keep up the good work Cryptic.

I really liked that ability. I also think it's cool how you go into a trance kinda.

Very good feedback and clearly something that isn't intented to work like this. Seems like an oversight. Great post OP

Loved lurker's assault and had no issues with it personally but I can see the point for sure

I agree the visual is cool, but totally not needed. Felt like I just put "The One Ring" on or something.
MY issue with the ability is that it is a lvl 8 (?) daily. You don't even have stealth yet (lvl 10)! How about letting players get used to how stealth works and THEN expanding on it.

Feel free to correct me if any of that is wrong.

my favorite daily, hands down, i found myself using it almost exclusively at 50; even after the nerf.

yes it was nerfed, if you played beta3 you would have noticed that activating skills that refilled your stealth meter no longer refilled it while in lurker's assault, something that you could pull off in beta2. so basically the longer you were stealthed while in assault, the more AP you generated, the more AP you generated per attack the longer you could sustain the effects of assualt; hence a wicked cycle. i would pop my assault along with a full stealth bar and keep a steady rate of AP going until my meter was low enough to drop bait and switch, then i would just do it all again until i ran out of AP or stealth whichever came first. it would turn out to be something like 13/14 seconds in assault if uninterrupted while attacking. it was pretty broken in beta2 and i saw it nerfed in beta3, but it is still by far the best rogue daily right next to courage breaker.

as far as saying that lurker's visuals make the game harder? i don't believe so, you can still see danger zones, you just have to look for them, they might not be bright red but they're there, the ground is usually darker than the rest of the screen. you also have to stop looking at lurker's as a single target daily, it really shines when you can get a control wizard to mass lock boss adds and all you have to do is camp right under the black hole while you hack and slash as they fall to the ground.
those dam_ HOTN players ruin everything.
