please allow us to download the beta a few days early

Please allow us to have access to download the beta client for those who bought the packs to play this next weekend at least a few days early so we can have it all downloaded and ready before the 8th :-) thanks!

    Call me naive (which I happen to be), but I'd expect that to be the default modus operandi.

    Yes i was thinking this exact thought. I would hate to wake up Feb. 8th and have to spend all day downloading and just trying to get in. If we could download on the 6th and confirm the download took that would be awesome. Then when we wake up and start on the 8th we would be able to start testing ASAP.

    I expect that to be the case as well. It doesn't make sense that we'd be expected to DL it on Feb 8th especially if there is a chance that there could be issues that could pertain to volume with everyone trying to DL the game etc. My guess would be that the DL link will be available by Mon/Tues by the latest.

    Heh, trust me, we want to make things as smooth as possible. We're certainly aware that downloading and installing takes a while; stay tuned to Pinpoint, if we end up having that kind of pre-patching, he'll be the one to know.

    Will the game client be available for early download?

    Many people have slower download speeds and can spend most of the beta weekend just downloading and setting up the game.

    yes i feel the same might not take me that long to download but as soon as i had my coffee i'd like to "try" to log in. lots of folks will be.

    Ya a few days download is always a good idea because some people have limits on there download speeds and the amount of gigs during the day time and unlimited at night after midnight.

    It's getting pretty close. You guys/girls should start thinking about opening up those download tabs. Unless of course you are still working out kinks. If the ladder is the case then disregard this post and keep up the hard work.

    It's just so kinky, we need to approve it with the ratings board first!


    Seriously, soon, very very soon. One more thing which we can't publicly detail, then start seeing that magical box light up....

    Before Friday I'm sure. :) I'm sure it's going to be Wednesday or Thursday. It's so sad, I keep clicking on download now every couple of hours.

    Won a beta key? Where did you win this? If this was the giveaway for the Hero pack they gave away today, then it should be for all the beta's, including this weekend. It would be this I think... http://nw.perfectworld.com/founderspack/hero

    Yes, but if he won the Hero of the North giveaway (they announced the winner earlier today), then he would be in this weekend since those who bought it get in, of course.

    ive been checking too i hope its not a huge download to be honest but we will see :-) i wish theyd just go ahead and release the download already ya know? we shall see!

    I really hope it is tomorrow. I don't want to see a crunch for the download causing problems. There is really no real reason why they can't have it downloaded sooner rather than later that I can see. If they make changes it could always patch them in which would theoretically take a lot less time than waiting and having people download the whole thing later.

    I hope it appears up to download within the next day or so honestly...I'm in a house on a network with a second player of the beta...and I'm not exactly living in South Korea with in-built T1. Either that, or hopefully it's not a massive size for the first weekend. I see no reason for it to not appear soon either really, most companies tend to release it a few days prior.

    Hopefully by then we'll get an answer about Hero Founder's Friend Keys too...mine's been used in hope of it being able to apply to the first weekend with a Torchlight II pre-order key alongside it, I'd rather not see it wasted and not let them into the first wave, especially considering that no particular weekend was implied, leading to many of us assume it could be used in any of the three. :)

    It should be, in my totally biased opinon, today. The more time before the starting time to download the beta and the start of the beta itself, the better. Stuff happens and I prefer it to happen today rather than the thursday.:p

    i Agree with you they should open up the downloader today for the beta rather than Thursday in case things happen they'll have time to fix it. before Friday.

    anybody knows the size of the file "gigs" the game is going to be?

    Hey guys, I've seen a few of you mention you're click on a download button (that doesn't lead anywhere just yet), but where is that? I've got the mid-tier pack, but no idea where that page is. Thanks!
