Crown of Klingon should not be in RTQ

rockster#6227 rockster Member Posts: 1,860 Arc User
Once again you have put something in the queue which no-one wants to do and take away all the fun for casual gamers. It used to be Demo when it was so OP no-one could finish it (that was after it was fine and people loved it for years then suddenly made impossible and people hated it and couldn't wait to leave) and so people just stood there and waited for some kind soul to take the penalty so they could all leave too and get on with their day, now it's Crown of Klingon, people just turn up and stand at the fire and want to leave and wait for someone to go first. How fun.

I mean... we have Svardborg, we used to have Tiamat, people loved doing them, they enjoyed them, also doable, you know it will almost always complete and be fun, then you have a complete other-end of the scale with things so hardcore people know already it's going to fail on a pug queue and aren't interested in even staying. - What is the philosophy behind putting such horrible things in the queue with other things which are easy to finish and people enjoy doing.

You force us to do randoms as part of the game, at least make it so people want to stay and do them. ALL of them. This is a pattern with you guys. Put some horrible thing in there with the fun stuff, does it give you a giggle? No-one wants to do Crown of Klingon. I just wasted 2 hours sitting in that RTQ and it just kept coming up and people kept leaving, me included. Please take it out and make it just for those who like a challenge, not for joe and betty casual who are just trying to earn a few seals and AD and feel pressured to do them.

So much drama in a single post. It must be very difficult to move to the edges when you have a red circle in CoK. This same mechanic exists in SVA and I bet players like you ignore it. Instead of wasting 2 hours trying to figure out what to do in which situation, you stop and open youtube, there are guides to all the content that exists in the game.

You bet wrong. And that's all the time I'm going to spend on this answer other than to say the majority of people entering the pug queue in the last couple of hours just now didn't want to stay once they realized what it was and just stayed at the fire, one or two went to the entrance each time but the rest of them stayed put, that says all anyone needs to know about how great it's working for the playerbase. This is not how it's supposed to be and it keeps happening with the Random Trial Queue for pugs and is a pattern I'm pointing-out. Have a nice day.

And maybe you would like to read and comprehend properly before you answer, I did not spend 2 hours trying to work out how to play it, I waited 2 hours for the queue to do something and this one kept popping and no-one wanted to even go in. So it was 2 hours of waiting, entering, people leaving, me leaving, waiting again, rinse repeat. Get it right next time before you comment Bucko.

When CoK comes up in RTQ, I've had many more successes than failures. Move red circles away from the party, and prioritize adds when they pop. How hard is that?

Yeah, I know, there's more to it than that, but if people do those 2 things, the success rate skyrockets.

The one time I got that solo queuing, we got to the end and then people started dying every time the adds spawned. Eventually it was just me and the one good tank left. Then me, then no one.

People enjoy SVA and old Tiamat because they were fast, Crown is easy, it's just takes a long time. That's why people don't want to do it, because it's faster to requeue and get a different trial. Crown has been in randoms for a few mods now, if the devs saw issues with it, they would have made adjustments like they have been doing with Tiamat. People should just suck it up and run it instead of being so toxic and upset that they got the longest trial.

I had crown yesterday and it was fine, as more often than not. I would say Tiamat fails more than crown... but obviously it depends on the group at the time.

I do get annoyed by players not being bothered to do prophecy of madness though!

I don't recall Klingons wearing crowns. Something about their ridges.

Please act like you are speaking for all of us. Many people enjoy baby CoK in RTQ. It has simple mechanics that need to be followed, and are super easy to learn. SVA is super boring, as it's easily completed ignoring all mechanics. I'm guess most newer people don't even know about the real mechanics we used to have to follow there. Overall, RTQ, all of them, are very easy to complete with lower level groups if people just mostly follow the mechanics. CoK fits perfectly into RTQ in my opinion. Also, no one forces you to run anything. The current AD structure offers many ways to cap your daily AD. If you don't like RTQ, run something else.

there is nothing wrong with nCoK, gameplay wise. the only complaint i'd have to do is give players the opportunity to open the second chest with a skeleton key rather than the actual keldegonn key (that you could use for master)

    Leave it in the queue.

What a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that RQ’s simply provide bonus RAD/seals upon completion, nothing more. If you queue for a specific dungeon/content, the rewards in the chest(s) at the end are the same as they would be if you had RQ’ed…

Instead of waiting an hour or more for a RQ to pop, a player can essentially spend that time running multiple specific content queues that they prefer and earn about as much if not more RAD on top of chest rewards (including seals of the dragon that some claim you can’t get unless you RQ) than they would have by waiting on one RQ which may or may not result in a completion and or be content they don’t prefer…

So no, players are NOT forced to RQ, they are simply rewarded with bonus RAD and seals for completing random content. They are various ways to earn AD that isn’t capped at 100k per day; it just takes effort, and putting in more effort is something a lot of players for whatever reason(s) don’t want to do yet they complain they can’t get xyz.

A lot of the time easier queued content is expressed to be “fun” while longer/more difficult content is expressed to be “not fun”, see the pattern?..

Oh how quickly times change - CoK is now completed by most groups in under 10 minutes.

    Power Creep yet again.

Its now a fun trial as is Tiamat - both are easily doable with enough HDPS and a bit of teamwork.

If we had Bat'leths, I'd play... whatever class can use it, because... Bat'leths, how could you NOT?! (I feel like they would be appropriate for Barbarians)
