It's horrible to post, read or discuss something with the forum in this state. Please fix this urgently!

    Indeed, please get this fixed!
He just rolled in from Europe the other day, I showed him the forum on my PC, and Mr. Blargskull posted that up. I told him about the Stylish extension but he said, there is no valid reason we should have to redesign the site for them. It is just an option, Stylish may not work with all browsers, it does work on my Chromium based Vivaldi.

I am working on a tutorial to demonstrate how the extension functions, I will post a link on this thread when I am done.

    You're assuming it is broken.

Well, if people would delete their signature blocks, it would probably help greatly to those that are complaining.

The problem is not the signature blocks per se, but that there is no visual indicator of the message field.

    I'm assuming it's deliberate.
Make it less user friendly, drives away the people who give "feedback"...

    But, I'm a cynic.

Ah yes, that's why they've been in discord asking the players there for feedback. It all makes sense now.

I would say it is deliberate. The recent changes to the forum strongly mirror the changes to the game over the last few mods. These people can't want your business.

The new forum look is quite awful, especially with it scrunched into half the available space. That said, what I want to ask is, "What have you done to the game?" Poking my head in after being away for a year, and I'm aghast. Half of the leveling maps are gone for "reworking" (yeah, right: I remember that same line in 2015 when nine dungeons were taken away with mod 6). Enchants are "reworked" with a system that leaves existing ones worth next to nothing in exchange and a price-gouging system for upgrading going forward (grind for ten years for motes or spend ten bucks at the Zen store).

This game used to be fun. We had more dungeons, way more maps, and even a Foundry where we could build quests, roleplaying maps, and custom guild houses. And now we have...
Harper Chronicles: Cap Snatchers (RELEASED) - NW-DPUTABC6X
    Blood Magic (RELEASED) - NW-DUU2P7HCO
Children of the Fey (RELEASED) - NW-DKSSAPFPF
Buried Under Blacklake (WIP) - NW-DEDV2PAEP
The Redcap Rebels (WIP) - NW-DO23AFHFH

Wish they outline the Discussion Title, or the Comment thread for existing thread's replies!

I'd say they should have doubled at least the lower Enchants, like the Rank 10-R14 normal. It would make a difference for Enchantments, today we get 1 for Rank 10, would have been nicer to have gotten 2; or then 4 for a R11, etc...

I'd say the Weapon Enchants were treated FINE though for their Enchantment medallions.

You still need 30 at least, but too late for me as I converted what I had. As it's not worth spending Diamonds for Enchantment Medallions, unless you have 28 for Uncommon, or at least 51 for a Rare. Seems they intended them only to be a slight top-up if your a bit short! Otherwise it's cheaper to buy Enchantments off the Sage in Proctor's Enclave, as she only changes 100,000 AD for Uncommon; or 250,000 for Weapon ones. That's where you used to go for Artifact Mission in Proctor's Enclave.

I'd say the Foundry is NOT coming back ever, as it just took too much effort to support. While I did like having custom missions, it also took too much time after each MOD, to FIX and getting it working.

    ――♫♪♫♪♪――――――――
At least upgrading an Enchantment to Mythic, you can convert the enchant to Character Bound, and with that it gives you an account-wide RECLAIM.

What I'm not sure about that is, if that only applies to Unbound Enchantments; so I'm upgrading all my unbound ones first. I'd just only claim one at a time, then CLAIM via Rewards Claim Agent in PE or via the Minibar!

It's now June 2...or over 3 weeks since a Cryptic Rep said you were working on 'fixing' the forums.

Like I suspect a lot of the readers of the forum, I wear glasses (and have a form of astigmatism). I randomly pulled up one article about the badness of using white on dark text for astigmatic readers. There are many to choose from, but all basically say the same thing.

You are literally causing me physical discomfort with the current format here.

Well, probably because they considered they "fixed" it. Their 'fixing' post was written after the original set up (when I created this thread) and before the current state. It was a lot worse than the current state at that time. In the scale of 1 to 100, IMO, it was 5. Now, it is 50.

Well, I have at least three issues with the 'new' format (I play on PC and not mobile using a Chrome Browser):

    1) Font Size/choice - The username for the post is in a much smaller font than before, 14 pt would be readable this looks more like 8pt. I thought we had a sans serif font before, but the new one is not as easy to read.

    2) Links are all in dark blue which, with a black background, makes reading them very difficult (contrast issue).

    3) Messages with special roles need to have colored icons highlighting them. When Nitocris or another staff member posts, that needs to jump off the screen and be easy to 'find' in the more dense layout. Contrasting color (yellow, Cyan) would help a lot.

I understand these are all personal preference. I personally like the current setting of (1) and (2). That does not mean others do not have problem with them.
For (3), it is already highlighted in red.

    For example,

    or yellow.

Can we please get the old forum back? This is a total mess and almost impossible to use. If the goal is to drive people away, good job. Otherwise, change it back.
