I can't recall any revolution where the people toppled a dictator that didn't have rivers of blood as a price (or a cause).
And that was in older times, today with modern information processing, and modern weapons, I wonder what the cost will be.

It's one thing to be a couch revolutionary, totally another to die in an attempt of revolution.

PS: Control of the armed forces, money and most importantly media and public opinion (aka brain washing) is the 101 of dictatorship.

I hope other players posting here will now simply show compassion and support to the transfert demand rather than having sterile debates you didn't ask for about politic, history, geopolitic, etc between each others... (seriously...)

Thank you all for your support. While all are alive, fights take place near the city, we keep)
I still haven't received an answer to my request to transfer the character. but I hope that this topic will be supported. And move on.

    Thanks for the news.
My concerns are about you being well and safe and about you being allowed to transfer your toons to the global server.
Keep giving us a daily note if you can.

Ok, we are getting fairly political here now. And I have heard that theory advanced in other places too.

    But I disagree.

When the Russian nation is attacking the Ukrainian nation, the members of the Russian nation can't distance themselves from the atrocities by saying it is the leadership. The Russians are part of their nation and in this case have to stand by it. It is their taxes, their sons, and their votes being used to wage an aggressor war.

If they are unhappy about it, they need to find a way to elect a new leadership that has a policy better suited to their preferences, and get rid of Putin.

You think Russia is a real democracy and Putin is legally elected...? Interesting.
That is not what I am saying. I am saying any nation is responsible for their leadership, no matter how it comes to be. Russia is a bone-hard dictature with only a thin wrapping of democracy over it. Yet, the population have accepted this, and from what I have seen Putin is not that unpopular, or at least was not.

The germans loved Adolf Hitler until 1944 when the consequences of the lost war started hitting them hard at home. There were very few cases of opposition against him until 1944.

There are ways to get rid of even the hardest dictatures. Some are bloody, some are not. But in the end the dictator is out because the population see themselves better served by a different leadership. The history books are full of examples of this. If the population really want a change, they got the power to effect it, even if the price could be costly. The Russian revolution is just one of many examples.

And that probably is what scares Putin most. If the Urainian war becomes too costly or if he cannot claim a victory, he very likely will lose the leadership of Russia. And most likely the International Court of Justice will pursue him for crimes against humanity. Starting wars are classified as crimes against humanity.

Discussing political topics beyond what OP asked will result in this topic being closed WITHOUT OP getting an answer most likely.

    - bye bye -

In any case, the topic will turn into politics until we see the reaction of the developers.
now for today - made strengthening of posts of defense and hospitals, in the evening two rockets arrived, were without light two hours, water and heat still isn't present (about victims it isn't known yet

So far, the way you are talking about what is happening to you during this horrible period isn't political.
It is "only" your current raw reality. And it is worth to be told and heard.
Honnestly, i try to imagine what I would feel being in your boots, living through this. I'm probably far from the truth and it would be lying to myself to say my imagination is enough for that...

It's not much, but I will wait here for Cryptic's answer (in my opinion it's taking way too long...), and keep following this thread in a hope to read your next few words, for each of your message giving your light of life my complete attention and thoughts for a moment.

I am not a network specialist, but could blocking russian IPs be a solution? Although I see two problems there:
    1. Proxys that veil true IPs
    2. If IP blocking works, how many accounts/players are left on Drider? Is it then economically reasonable to keep the server up still?

The chance Russia will be cut off. The other game companies are doing that already. So, unless the situation somehow 'reverses' soon, Cryptic/Gearbox will have to follow.

It's quiet now) I can write a little, today there were five warnings about enemy planes, only twice bombed the infrastructure (power grids, heating plants) there is still no water.
Fighting is taking place near satellite cities.
As for the question of servers, I think it is necessary to add this question to the topic with questions to Brett Norton.

I support the topic. I live in Ukraine. Is it possible to switch to the Euro server without losing character progress?

I support the topic of the possibility of leaving the Russian server for the Euro. The game was the only rest. My city was bombed only once. But, air raid alerts are constant. We collect products, things. We accept refugees. And in the evening, I just want to relax mentally. But now it is not possible. The game is very toxic obschaetsya part of the Russian players. There is no strength and desire to enter into disputes with them. I want to play where your people and your country are supported. Therefore, I would like to switch to the Euro server!

There is Dragon (international) and Drider (Russian). There is no dedicated Euro server.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

I don't want to play on the Russian server anymore. There are a lot of Russian players who support the war. Meanwhile, Russian planes are bombing my Ukraine, killing children, women and the elderly. I appeal to support: find a way to transfer our characters to the euro server.

There is no Euro server. The real technical question is if you can connect to their international server (in US) reliably. If it is not playable at all, moving the character (if possible) does not help at all.

Well from what I read in the news today, you might not have any Russian people to talk to on the internet very soon. The Russian government wants to privatize their internet. This is the same thing China does blocking and filtering unwanted ISPs. If they block the Cryptic servers, then there will no longer be access to the game from Russia.

Russian internet will be very dull with nothing to do there. Meanwhile on the positive side, all of Europe should get less lags and have no issues connecting.

    Just killing time...

Shouldn't be an issue, players from SA or far east (lets say from India to Australia) have higher ping than from Eastern EU.

Unfortunately, even though i have planned to be around, I ended up to not being present for the stream (thanks to my job calling me back to solve an issue...).
Did they mention anything about a solution for people on the Russian server who want to migrate to the global one ?

During the stream I was in a bomb shelter (all is well).
I did not look at the record, I am counting on the answer in this topic. Today I came across the following:

There are two servers on the PC:There is Dragon (international) and Drider (Russian)
also a dedicated server for consoles.
You both need to be on one of these servers.
