General Atmospheric Detail

I am testing in Linux OS right now, and I will flip over to Windows 10 in a bit and test there as well. However this seems to be lacking some details present in the current game. Does anyone else think Neverdeath Graveyard and some other zones are just too bright with vivid colors? I will take some screenshots and post them later. I already messed with the settings and not much of a change to show the spooky atmosphere of the Graveyard or places like Barovia.

Also I know this was brought up before in the prior preview. Trees, well forests actually, are missing in Barovia. As long as this doesn't carry over to Live, I guess it will be ok here only on Preview.

its only partially overcast in areas where there is a big storm. there should be dark black cumulonimbus clouds.

These are from the same machine and both Linux OS and Windows reflects the same issues. Live looks a lot better than what I am seeing on Preview. Neverdeath appears to be missing walls, trees and other miscellaneous objects.

The fog and prop changes in Neverdeath were intentional to help with performance in the map, but the missing Barovia trees are a real issue that we are investigating. Thank you for the reports!

I suppose it is just my opinion the graveyard looked better in the current Live setting. My only concerned was about the Linux application messing up the conversion process of DirectX to OpenGL. Apparently that is not the case.

Are you experiencing some network issues with the Preview shard? I am seeing some big spikes on there. They don't appear on the Live shard. Since this is the same server, it indicates to me a database issue on your end. Character animation packets might be a strong lead, the character animation stops while they continue to move from point to point. This is not a concern to myself, as I am focused primarily on audio and visuals handled by the DirectX / OpenGL exchange.

I absolutely love the changes to Neverdeath; I think it looks proper spooky now rather than cartoon blue. Keep up the good work guys!

Barovian forest left for Helm's Deep to finish their business with the orcs.
