Ehm?? Personally I never met a signle tank like this in neverwinter. Maybe you are in the wrong guild. When I remember problems in TOMM/Zariel it was DPS players call to kick the tank. If you think it is arrogant some tank say "I tank as maintank"(!!) I want to remember you, that it is really hard for tanks if you do not know mechanics while you're sleeping. Better not play second tank then, because you will fail taunt in the length of the fight when you need to do. It is not as easy as DPS - bam bam bam. While super low DPS could always join a babysitter run, this was never possible for a tank. You will always suffer a hamster storm. If a tank dictates her/his rules, this is to protect her-/himself. If you dislike, make tanking easier.
I dont know which world you live in, but there arent many tanks like this. Usually its the DPS who look down on others, other DPS, the tanks, the healers. The DPS are those who only care about their damage output and see nothing else. "Look at me, im top DPS" "Look at me, i carried this". They are the ones who will blame the healer when they stand on red and get one-shot. They are the ones who will run ahead, get one-shot by mobs and will start crying "where is the tank, where is the healer, where is my team". DPS are the ones who will jump on the boss right as the fight starts, before the tank has the chance to do anything, they will get one-shot and make all hell break loose, sometimes even causing multiple deaths in the group. This is especially true in higher difficulty, like IC, TOMM and Zariel. I cant even count how many times my party has had many deaths in IC because someone decided to aggro the boss before im able to do anything. And they then proceed to blame the tank and the healer. Especially after the changes, tanks have very limited ways to fix their stats. Almost the entirety of the game is catered towards DPS. Just check the new gear, 4 out of the 5 pieces on each set are DPS focused. And the DPS like to force their playstyle on the rest of the group, run ahead, stand on red, do whatever they want without even thinking. But when a tank or a healer speak, they get all the HAMSTER in the world. The DPS runs ahead and gets one shot, its the tanks fault. The DPS stands on red and gets one shot, its the healers fault. And that you said these things shows that you have absolutely no clue about tanking. A DPS can easily make do with mediocre damage, stats and with just knowing some basic mechanics. On the other hand, a mediocre tank is not able to much. Tanks need to have good gear, good bonuses and be on point with the mechanics. Thats one of the reason why tanks cant be carried through anything, while the DPS can be easily carried through any content, though for higher level dungeons you need a good team. Thats also the reason why tanks are either bad or good, with nothing in between, while DPS can range from bad, to mediocre, to good.
Keep trashtalking the tanks mate, because that surely helps. There are so few good tanks left in the game, it will surely help them decide to leave. How much do you think they need until most of them leave. Maybe then Cryptic decides to actually show us some love, when no one's left to see it.

I tank on a Paladin mostly. I would say I dont experience this but mostly I form my own runs and occasionally join call outs in zerg channels. I do understand at the start of combat changes aggro was harder, but since they addressed that tanking has been very easy as far as aggro. I know some boss mechanics have changed and tanks are not all up on it. Tanking is doable and can even be fun in the right group. When dps run ahead I do laugh and watch them eat dirt before taking aggro, though I do still run 3x gladiators so I am not slow.

That tanks should not complain and should eat what we got? Maybe many of us are not able anymore to joke about what we got, because it is not funny.

With all the trash talking we get and all the frustration we have, do you expect everyone to take something like this as a sarcasm? There is no context that shows it was meant as a joke. You do not understand that you have a loadout for every situation. Maximum DPS, maximum Tank. STDPS, AOEDPS, whatnot. I never told I have problems. I told it is not fair and not fun. The group play is a competitive environment, else there would be no leaderboards. And the game is poorly balanced.
I build for maximum DPS now and wait for DPS paragon for paladins. Thats all summed up and show all about tanks. Why I should spend any time for awareness gear etc. I have to build 2 loadouts, when DPS are fine with 1. Toooo expensive. These days you do not even get free favor runs at avernus for comp gear, that you can buy awareness stuff, but ofcourse the DPS want you to have full awareness stuff???? Reality is it is best to do it 4 HDPS 1 Heal. Yea super tank times. That is the reality. Better not start a tank.

Whales have EVERYTHING at mythic or Legendary All the mops and wards to raise ANY item or enchant.
Starting folks don’t have a stable full of mythic companions or Mounts. They have the the ones the have managed to find in the game. They don’t have VIP. A pres ward is a rare find for them.
They can’t buy their way through the game. They can’t access the content to get the gear they need. The grind now is massively time consuming therefore reward vs effort is skewed.
Know your character is more than condescending and not helpful.
But that seems to be the general consensus.
The game depends on new players, new players are dropping Tank paragon for DPS.
REQ is now filling with dps who just switched to get the AD. When the Ques does finally pop.
