Game crashes when loading Preview Server

Since the companion changes were released on preview, when i attempt to load preview, the game crashes.
The game will make it past the first two loading screens, and then crash before the Character Select page.
I've tried this dozens of times now with the crash happening every single time.
Logging in to Live works without a single problem.

I opened the Cyptic Studios folder and then the Neverwinter folder. At this point, you should have 2 folders; Live and Playtest. I delete everything within the Playtest folder leaving it empty. Copy everything from Live into Playtest. Launch and the patch should be about 1 GB for Preview. Wait for the complete patch and press the Play button.
Everything seems to function but they are having issues with costumes and such. I will not comment for or against the mechanics here, but to say, this is another game changer.
