➥HISTORY OF ICESPIRE PEAK
In the shadow of Icespire Peak, the Icehammer dwarves wage a wintry battle.

Snow-laden crags and hard-edged bluffs loom over Torunedar like frostbitten fingers. Despite the subzero temperatures, the dwarven village is bustling with activity, constantly preparing for an ongoing battle that is as sure as the promise of a cold dawn. Bolbin Ironbrow can be found coordinating the meager Icehammer militia as Garora Oakhew tends to the wounded and holds the front line. In the White Crags, the blistering waste high atop Icespire Peak, Florin Icehammer, last scion of an ancient line, seeks a way to bring the fight to Hrimnir himself.

The frost giant chief will not be dissuaded so easily.

Hrimnir, favored of the winter titan Thrym, commands the bitter forces of winter on Icespire Peak, sending wave after wave of frost goblins, winter wolves, ice trolls, and frost giants at the Icehammer dwarves. Icespire Peak has become the stage for confrontation between Hrimnir’s army and the resilient dwarves, and a place for stalwart adventurers to ply their trade in battle.

The colossal giant Lakkar, long frozen in stone and ice, stares uncaringly down at the battlefield. In times past, Lakkar made a pact with Thrym for the dark power of Elemental Chaos. The giant received the Winterforge, an ancient artifact which rewarded him with colossal size, but proved too powerful for him to contain. Defeated by the Icehammer dwarves, Lakkar and the Winterforge lay untouched for generations, until the artifact was disturbed by the stout folk and began calling Hrimnir and his forces with the Elemental Chaos.

The dwarves may be hardy, but they cannot attack Hrimnir alone. Adventurers who find themselves in the freezing climes around Torunedar will battle through the Frozen Heart, into the very body of Lakkar himself, to find and destroy the Winterforge. Giants, tolls, golems, and the frost giant chief himself stand between them and the salvation of Icespire Peak.

Chult was located at the westernmost end of the Chultan peninsula, in the southern part of the Trackless Sea, off the coast of Calimshan. As a result of the Spellplague, Chult was cut off from the mainland, becoming an island, but following the Second Sundering it was reunited with the mainland. Regardless of geographical status, Chult has always been remote and isolated, forming a mountainous jungle of savage beasts, hulking dinosaurs, and disease-ridden swamps. Human tribes, goblins, and even stranger monstrous folk haunted the thick jungles. Nevertheless, Chult drew adventurers who sought its legendary riches. The primordial Ubtao was almost exclusively revered in the land, for the divine powers of Faerûn awarded Ubtao the dominion over the land of Chult in exchange for the deity's vigilance over the threat from under the Peaks of Flame.

Storm King's Thunder is a 5th-edition Dungeons & Dragons adventure set in the Savage Frontier region of the Forgotten Realms. It takes four to six characters from levels 1–5 up through level 10.

To Fight Giants, You Must Be Giant
Ages ago, giants and dragons waged war across the Savage Frontier. These battles are long forgotten by the human civilizations of today, but ancient relics remain. And now, the land shudders once more with the thunder of giant footsteps.

Hill giants raid farms for food and livestock, as stone giants lay waste to settlements in their path. Frost giants plunder coastal towns, as fire giants gather slaves. Cloud giant castles drift across the sky, casting ominous shadows on the cities of the North. But no threat compares to the wrath of the storm giants, who stand betrayed.

Puny adventurers must rise to the challenge, gather their strength, unlock the power of ancient runes, and take the fight to the giants' doorsteps. Only then can they discover a hidden evil fomenting a war between giants and small folk. Only then can they forge an alliance to end the war before it begins.

    ➥History of Ravenloft:
The first appearance of the setting was in I6:Ravenloft, a stand-alone Advanced Dungeons & Dragons adventure module published in 1983. It was popular enough to spawn an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Gamebook and a 1986 sequel (Ravenloft II: The House on Gryphon Hill). Ravenloft was launched as a full-fledged campaign setting in 1990,[4] with the Realm of Terror boxed set, popularly known as the "Black Box". The campaign setting was revised twice during Second Edition — first as the Ravenloft Campaign Setting "Red Box", then as the Domains of Dread hardback. In 1994 Ravenloft spun off into sub-setting called Masque of the Red Death, set on Gothic Earth, an 1890s version of Earth where fantasy creatures exist only in the shadows of civilization.[5] The "Black Box" won the Origins Award in 1991 for Best Graphic Presentation of a Roleplaying Game, Adventure, or Supplement of 1990.

TSR also published a series of novels set in Ravenloft. Each was typically focused on one of the darklords that inhabited the Ravenloft world, with several focusing on the figure of Count Strahd von Zarovich. Many of these early novels were by authors who would later receive wider fame as horror/dark fantasy authors. These authors have included Elaine Bergstrom, P. N. Elrod, Christie Golden and Laurell K. Hamilton.

Ravenloft was licensed in 2000 to White Wolf, Inc., which published through the Sword & Sorcery Studios imprint versions of the setting for Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition (as Ravenloft Campaign Setting - Core Rulebook) and Dungeons & Dragons v.3.5 (as Ravenloft - Player's Handbook - v.3.5 Core Campaign Setting). White Wolf's license to the Ravenloft setting reverted to Wizards of the Coast on August 15, 2005, but Sword & Sorcery retained the right to continue to sell its back stock until June 2006. The timing of this reversion meant that the Ravenloft supplement Van Richten's Guide to the Mists did not see print.[citation needed] Instead, it was released as a free download in late September 2005.

The campaign setting published by White Wolf introduced a number of alterations, many based on conflicts with existing Wizards of the Coast intellectual property. Lord Soth, a character created for the Dragonlance setting, was removed, and the island featuring the demi-god Vecna and his rival, Kas, was likewise excised due to the characters' origins in the Greyhawk setting, and any references to D&D pantheon gods have been replaced with Ravenloft-specific names (for example, Bane is referred to as "The Lawgiver").

In October 2006, Wizards of the Coast released Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, a hardcover version of the original 1st edition adventure updated for the Dungeons & Dragons version 3.5 rule set. The 2006 version includes maps from the original Ravenloft adventure, and new character generation options. Expedition to Castle Ravenloft is a stand-alone supplement set for any D&D worlds, and only requires the three core books for usage. This book is completely distinct from the Ravenloft of the White Wolf product line.

In September 2008, it was announced on Wizard of the Coast's Digital Insider #6 that Ravenloft would be reintroduced to 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons in the October issue of the Dragon online magazine. In 2007, Wizards of the Coast announced the printing of two new Ravenloft novels for 2008, Black Crusade and The Sleep of Reason,[11] fueling more speculation. A short story by Ari Marmell, "Before I Wake," based on the realms of Darkon, Lamordia and Bluetspur was released on October 31, 2007 on the Wizards of the Coast website as a special for Halloween and featured characters inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith.

The Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition supplement Manual of the Planes established that in the 4th Edition cosmology, the Domains of Dread (and by extension the Ravenloft setting) are now located within the Shadowfell, a mirror-world of death and gloom lying adjacent to the mortal realm. A standalone Ravenloft Roleplaying Game using the 4th edition rules was scheduled for publication in late 2011,[13] but the product was never released.

A new adventure for the game's 5th edition, entitled Curse of Strahd, was released in March 2016.[14] It was developed in-house by the Wizards of the Coast team, led by Christopher Perkins, with story contributions by original creators Tracy and Laura Hickman.

    History
Ravenloft is an alternate time-space called the "half-plane of terror" that consists of a collection of pieces of land called "domains" and these lands have been brought together by a mysterious force known only as "dark powers." Each domain is ruled by a "dark lord", which is a person or monster who has committed an act of evil so great as to draw the attention of the dark powers. The dark lords are imprisoned within the confines of their realms and cannot escape by any means, although most can travel their realms just by thinking about it. Within their domain, the dark lords are eternally tormented by what they desire. The desires and motivations of the dark lords are different: some want love, others, glorious victory, or the defeat and humiliation of some enemy (such as a rival dark lord)

The mysterious Castle Ravenloft is a powerful draw for newcomers to Barovia. Those who look upon the magnificent spires atop the cliffs soaring impossibly above the valley have a hard time averting their gaze. Paired with the tragic story of Strahd's overwhelming passion and lust for power, the temptation to enter the master's dwelling is overpowering for most.

The start of the steep winding road to the castle is marked by a great stone archway and ceremoniously locked gates. It swings itself open and closed to let members of Strahd's retinue in and out.

Those determined to pass through find it is not possible to approach the castle, but gathering the courage to approach Ravenloft stalls many expeditions at this imposing threshold.

➥The Lair of the Mad Mage
The portals luring people across Faerûn into Undermountain have been closed, and Trobriand’s evil plan to transform all beings of flesh into mindless metal constructs has been thwarted. After suffering setback after setback, Arcturia and Trobriand have retreated to the perceived safety of Halaster’s dungeon, where they continue to plot and scheme.

Inevitably, these two dangerous beings will one day return to terrorize the people of Faerûn, which cannot be allowed. Can you brave this dungeon of madness and defeat Halaster’s apprentices?

The Lair of the Mad Mage is the epilogue to the Undermountain campaign and will see you venturing into Halaster’s domain to face his two apprentices, Arcturia and Trobriand. Halaster’s lair is much like his mind: jumbled, insane, and full of wonder and grandeur!

As a good host should, Halaster is there to greet you as you enter his domain, encouraging you to put on a good show. Shadows and beholders stalk these halls, waiting to pounce on unwary adventurers. Making your way deeper into the dungeon will require team coordination to tackle the various and varied enemies, and one wrong step may lead to your doom.

Reaching Arcturia’s domain provides no respite; just more opportunity for disaster. Shambling mounds and animal-headed soldiers prowl the halls, and butterfly golems are hers to command. Defeating Arcturia will require communication and coordination, lest her restless creations overwhelm you.

Halaster isn’t pleased with the entertainment up to this point and has devised ways to test you further. Fire and ice must be braved to advance, and the gatekeepers are not to be trifled with.

Trobriand’s terrifying creations guard his domain as you draw near, the most daunting of which is the Boreworm. This monstrosity’s grinding jaws make quick work of adventurers, and its entire body is a dangerous weapon. Don’t fret though: unfortunate adventurers will be able to lounge in luxury as they wait for their compatriots’ inevitable fall.

Pushing through Trobriand’s guards will give you a reprieve from his creations, but not from other threats. Creatures from all over Faerûn haunt the halls approaching Trobriand, and who knows where a passage might send an adventurer. Surviving their deadly intentions will allow you to test yourself against Trobriand in an electrifying boss fight!

Lair of the Mad Mage is available after players have reached level 80, completed the Undermountain campaign, and attained the required item level.

LOST CITY OF OMU ▪ FANE OF THE NIGHT SERPENT ❚ SOUNDSCAPE
    https://youtu.be/F6ArshPNLQ8
➟As brave heroes venture into the Lost City of Omu, completing vital quests for Eku, each question answered leads to a larger mystery…

What Lies Beneath The Royal Palace?

Explorers have learned the hard way that dangerous yuan-ti plague the ruins within the great circular wall that surrounds the Royal Palace of Omu. All ranks of yuan-ti passionately guard against the discovery of the entrance to the Temple of the Night Serpent that lies hidden beneath.

Deep within the temple, the cruel malison Fenthaza serves as high priest to the serpent god Dendar. Since the death of Ras Nsi, Fenthaza may well represent the last of yuan-ti leadership. Defeating Fenthaza could rid Omu of yuan-ti once and for all.

    Getting Inside

Among the crumbling walls and towers of the Royal Palace, any known access to its ancient halls and chambers has been sealed by the slow, destructive press of the jungle.

While searching for an entrance to the temple, adventurers will find more than a few yuan-ti to slow them down. Higher ranking, more deadly forms of yaun-ti (Dancers and Venomshots) command numerous lesser types (Sharpshooters and Swordsman) to great effect. It would be foolish to underestimate them.

Naturally, other jungle denizens can be found prowling the area, so keep your eyes open. The ruins present many blind corners and alcoves that can hide additional snake worshipers or create traps to get backed into and overwhelmed.

Once they have been found, bring the nine puzzle cubes of the Trickster Gods, together at the Trickster Gate before the entrance to the palace. The hidden passage to the Temple of the Night Serpent will be revealed.

    The Path to the Temple

The passages and chambers of the once great Omuan Palace has been taken over by the curse and stain of the yuan-ti and the Night Serpent. Sections have been sealed off to produce dark hiding places while other walls have been breached letting the jungle and rain penetrate.

As this is one of the last bastions of strength for the yuan-ti, expect the most powerful among them to defend Fenthaza and the temple. Even abominations have been rumored to be in her service. Defeating any number of them would be an achievement in itself.

Fenthaza is one of the few to become one of Dendar's true Nightmare Speakers, with this great honor, Fenthaza sees and interprets Dendar's dreams, giving the high priest useful clairvoyance. So, your invasion may not catch anyone in the temple by surprise. Also, having survived tombs and temples in Chult this far, you know that the ancient architects are fond of devious traps. Take a deep breath and stay on your toes.

Gaining the favor of Dendar requires Fenthaza to have many ready victims at her beck and call. It is likely that you will find prisoners in need of rescue. Lastly, Celeste and Makos each have their own interests in the temple and the defeat of Fenthaza. An encounter with either of them would not be a surprise.

    Fenthaza and the Temple

Fenthaza, second in power to Ras Nsi, has become resentful and wicked over the years. In her powerful position, she holds the role of high priest and Dendar's Nightmare Speaker. She pleases the serpent god through cruel torture and sacrifice.

While Fenthaza's role gives her power and influence, the dreams have also given her visions to find treasures hidden deep beneath Omu. She and her champions are likely to be well equipped and if defeated, reveal significant relics and treasures.

When you have reached the 'head of the snake', the temple itself, Fenthaza will fight for Dendar, for the future of the yuan-ti and for her own life. She will try to anticipate your moves, draw power from her tortured victims and from the Night Serpent herself to bring the full strength of Dendar down upon you and your party.

Will you survive to see Fenthaza destroyed or fall before Dendar and the Fane of the Night Serpent?

    Rise and fall
In the age of Delzoun expansion (-22900 DR to -1100 DR), dwarven miners first dug the tunnels and chambers that would become known as Gauntlgrym. The dwarves found unusual veins of magical ore, but in their digging, they encountered the trapped Dawn Titan (fire primordial Maegera. After that disastrous encounter, the deep tunnels were closed.

Centuries or millennia later, the primordial was rediscovered by the arcanist Maerin of Illusk. He convinced the dwarves of Delzoun to build a city around the mines of Gaunlgrym in order to harness the power of the primordial to create exceptional pieces of metalwork. Construction on the city began in -335 DR as a joint effort between the human wizards of Illusk and the dwarves of Delzoun. Maerin and the elven wizards of Iliyanbruen extended the reach of the "roots" of the Host Tower of the Arcane in Illusk to carry the cooling waters of the sea to the primordial.] The famed dwarf artisan Immar Fardelver was involved in the construction of the city itself.

The city was completed fourteen years later in -321 DR and became the home to dwarves from Clan Goldspire, humans from Illusk, and Netherese refugees from Runlatha and Sundabar.

The city fell during the Orc Marches of -111 DR but was resettled in 141 DR, this time as a vassal of Illusk, who again aided the dwarves in their efforts. Unfortunately, after an invasion in 153 DR by lycanthropes and illithids a mere twelve years after its resettlement, the city was left to the mind flayers for the next millennium.[9] Many refugees of Gauntlgrym, infected with lycanthropy, fled to the Gray Wolf Tribe, spreading their curse to the Uthgardt

➟Tomb of Annihilation centers around the Deathcurse, a wasting disease that slowly kills anyone who’s ever been raised from the dead and prevents anyone who has died from being raised, and the Soulmonger artifact that caused the disease. "The narrative of the campaign begins with the group being hired by Syndra Silvane, a wealthy former adventurer who is afflicted with the Deathcurse. Her sources have tracked the Soulmonger to the ancient jungles of Chult. [...] At its core, Tomb of Annihilation follows a classic quest structure. ➥History
Long ago, the fortress was abandoned by the elves who marched forth to fight the growing orc hordes, and were never seen again.

Around 1479 DR, eladrin descendants of the empire of Illefarn, led by the fey knight Merrisara Winterwhite were attempting to restore the ruins of Sharandar, and by extension all of the empire of Iliyanbruen, by making incursions into Neverwinter Wood through a portal from the Feywild located within the Feywild city of New Sharandar.

In Dragonbone Vale, the adventurers must come together to end the Rite of the Dracolich. To do so, players will join forces with the Heroes of Neverwinter and other allies and fight their way through a new Adventure Zone, new Heroic Encounters, a new Trial, and more. This module also features a new grappling hook mechanic that will allow adventurers to traverse the expansive new neighborhoods and the Campaign.
Dragonbone Vale is currently available on the test server. Check it out now and keep an eye on the developer blogs to learn more about the new module.

So far, Ravenlof and Dragon Vale I consider as best soundtracks from this game... While others are not bad, when I listen it's feels as it would be something missing. But that's only for me. :)
