Missing sword in Castle Raven after a failed attempt on final boss

So after spending 45 mins going through Castle Raven as a REQ we failed on the final boss. when we need to do the shield up. someone put the sword down just before. So we failed nothing wrong here. However after we all respawned the sword had go and we could also no longer challenge the final boss.
Slightly off topic but I thought all REQ had been adjusted to be about the same play time. After not being able to face the boss again we abandoned the instance and queued again and got ETOS which was completed in less than 20 mins. So CR takes about twice as long to complete. This is one of the reason people have decreased their willingness to do REQ.
