Day after day, after day, after day, after day....

We've been logging in, porting to Avernus, and chasing the +Ape.
That's what we've been doing - again, and again, and again.

Why?
Ultimately, because we get to visit Juma - that Curious, stocked up, loveable character, skulking around the rooftops out the back of the Stronghold ramparts.

We've done it all for this guy. Without him, we would have stopped after the first few ape cullings. He made it all worthwhile.

So, why Cryptic, have you chased him down from the ramparts, and put him in a cage?

Lock it up! Lock it up! Lock it up! It set up a secret insecure storage system on the roof of a Stronghold without proper clearance of the guard service. It also overcharged the 100 bag for 300.

People were complaining about how inconvenient it was to get to him.

    Edit: Found it here

Juma is 100% symbolic of how Cryptic designs things. NO pre thought, just implement and give no consideration of the consequences of the decisions. Then when it goes live they realize there is an issue. This happens every mod without fail, it is sort of their trademark.

Why is Juma now in a cage? If they want to leave him as a merchant, then I see two options:
    1) for the lazy: we just transfer Juma somewhere outside the globe, but within the fortress (for example, somewhere in the vicinity of the stairs, next to the tavern or completely outside, there are many places on the map). no further steaming is necessary
    2) not for the lazy: do some kind of quest, they say, found this petty demon on the territory, wanderer, go find out, kill someone or something else. in the end it turns out that Juma simply does not share such a life as that of her relatives, so he decided to bargain with everyone that he would find in the fields and do not care deeply about who won there, he was here for his own sake. in the end, he will be allowed to trade at the territory of the fortress, inside the ball, and in exchange for this they will find something socially useful in the fortress in the fortress (well, this is so, for completeness, ENT, who has no effect on anything) . and in gratitude that you, such a wanderer decided to justify and prove that I’m not how to get together - now the chests will now be 3 times cheaper for you.

and I’m more than sure that they will not deal with the second option, but the first one can be done. otherwise, how is this obtained? he is sitting in a cage. next to him is a guard. and such a question: how can he trade in such conditions? How is he allowed to trade? where does he get the goods from, if he himself runs around the fields and collects things from corpses: or are these guards with him in proportion? let him out at night, and in the morning they lock him, they say, a prisoner? or is he conspiring with the guards and looking for a convenient chance to realize the devilish escape plan?

Hmmm.... So this Juma character is basically paying a bounty for "Chaotic Writings" found on the fallen bodies of demons and devils. Why does he want the writings?

Is he an agent of Elysium?

Maybe he's a powerful evil entity looking for something? Something that will give him the power to launch his own invasion into the material plane.

Seems like a good idea to cage and question him.

Juma is clearly very rich, pays well, and has collected an insane amount of chaotic writings, whilst encouraging us to thin the demonic ranks.
Soon he'll reach critcial mass, and be ready to make his move. At that point the silly cage won't hold him.

I welcome the imminent arrival of our new Overlord Juma, and encourage you all to do the same.

I checked on Juma earlier today. I'm sad to report he's prone to sudden fits of rage. It's unclear to me if it's the chaotic writings, imprisonment, or perhaps a trait of his race causing the infliction.

I even tried soothing him with phrases such as "ohh... you're such a cute little fiend" and "Who's a good little boy" to no avail. The only time he seemed at ease was after he bite me whilst trying to scratch behind his ear.

I fear he may have a liking for blood. Please use extreme caution.... you've been warned.

He's a devil inside a protected area. Of course he is going to be restrained.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Fair go. How long has he spent now in a cage slightly bigger than his body?

Any us of would be flinging fireballs at anyone who so much as looked our way by now, yet he just drops the cost of his trades by 66%, and quietly gets on with it.

I know the stigma, I am a tiefling.
I hope that the next step to ensure security is not to have us restrained as unreliable in this war.
Warlocks will follow after us. Nobody knows who is their real patron anyway...
    .
Just make the Juma Tent in a pocket of the magic shield. Our wizards said it is possible.
    .
What you see can be deceiving. You see him in a cage. If you can step inside the cage, you can see him inside a magic palace with his Juma skin off. His real identity is Zok. The guards are preventing you to get in and not him getting out.

I paid Juma a visit today, perhaps selling what's left of my soul... I collected a good share of hell spawned chickens... I swear he mocks for previously displaying compassion. I notice a blood stained map on the table behind one of the guards. My curiosity drawing me near.... I noticed a chair materialize, beckoning me to seat. What sorcery is this.... what game is Juma playing? What's on that map?

He was stealing from the armory and selling random grab bags containing the stolen armor on top of the Stronghold. Stealing from the Neverwinter armory is treason!

One thing that never made sense about Juma's original position is that he was inside the barrier. He is a *demon*, after all. He should have been just outside the barrier, like someone scalping lunar shuttle tickets ("by the aisle, by the window, smoking, non-smoking")

He was already inside on the roof before the mages brought up the barrier. He was the leading scout.

where there was Juma - mages did not guard the gaps of the barrier and anyone could squeeze through.

but where did people get this armor? it comes from demons. and who better than a demon to get this armor.
it seems to me that your version is not quite logical. why would a thief hide in a place where they can prevent the barrier at any time?
