Changing slots on companion gear

Self explanatory. would like to be able to use gear with defensive stats on my companion without having the power loss from the lack off an offinsive slot on the equipment

    There is already comp gear in the game with defensive stats and offensive slots. Not sure what stats you're hoping to get.

    The only thing preventing you from using it is the dreaded grind.

    I think his idea is concerning double defensive stat gear. Type of slot is dependent on stats it gives, so a piece of gear that gives 2 defensive stats or 1 big defensive stat give 2 defensive slots. If you want to take advantage of the bonding stones then you have to work within the constraints of the system, need more defense stats accept the slot that comes with it.

    I'll try and find the piece I picked up, it's 2 defensive stats with offensive runestone slots.

    There might be more already in game but this is the one I found and currently have equipped!
