Ok im dumb. Why is the Gith locked?

shouldnt you be able to create a gith character as a VIP member today? (aug. 13)
it shows its locked for me saying i need a dang pack to unlock it?

    It was unlocked for me, just created one (am VIP)

    do you need to be a certain VIP rank?

    Well to have it unlocked you have to at least log into an existing character and have vip. Then you have to be rank three this might be a bug that will be fixed tommarrow or thursday. Which will only require you to be rank one.

    ya saw in post says u gotta be rank 3 as of now but will be fixed to rank 1 in thurdays patch (aug 15) so dont do any mad bckflips jus yet lol itll work after thursday
