do people form any kinda farming groups for them and if so how does one get into one?

    Find a named critter and kill it. Nothing more.

    Most of the critters spawn pretty frequently. The worm seems to be an exception...I have waited 15 minutes for it to show up, and now I generally just skip it. Actually, once you have all the vanity pets from Zok, there is no reason to chase those critters any more.
    Hoping for improvements...

    I didn't know about this. What is the drop rate for the fragment? Must be low because I did the campaign on 5 toons and killed a number of these mobs but never got one drop.

    One per kill. Only one I've never seen a drop from is the gelatinous cube in Vanrakdoom.

    That is, the first time you kill one of the named critters each day you get a drop. It's easy to get 10+ per day .. enough for one vanity pet per day.

    And no, the cube in Vanrakdoom does not drop anything ... I suspect it is a bug, though.

    Someone said the cooldown was hourly but I haven't tested that.
