[PC] Unable to receive tells in game

I am unable to receive tells in game. I have looked for the settings that would turn off incoming tells but not having any luck.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I am able to receive tells from friends.

    Answer ✓
    Well PWE was able to give me a command that allowed me to start seeing chat from everyone else.
    So if you are unable to see zone, tell, lfg, say from anyone not in your guild or on your friends list try the following.

    /Whitelist_Chat 0

    This will disable the whitelist for chat and allow you to see everyone.

    First you choose the corresponding chat tab you want to adjust. Then you press a gear to the top left of chat window. There you should search column to the right for a checkbox named Tell, and check it.

    Are you set as invisible to all but friends?
