VIP and Zen Exchange concerns

yes with youre increase to 750 to 1 on the zen exchange and that caused prices of everything to cost more including VIP well its time for you to upgrade VIP to 2 lock box keys a day for that price, its costing more so we should get more out of it not less or same<<< @nitocris83 @terramak

    If you use AD to get Zen, it is more. If it is using money to get Zen, it is the same.
    It is not going to happen. At least not for that reason.

    VIP doesn't cost more, still 1k base zen. It costs you more astral diamonds to purchase zen from the ZAX now. You can still pay the same amount of real-world currency (10$ US). How cryptic wants to price their imaginary currency is a perfectly legitimate business practice. e.g. Theme Parks.

    Not sure about the logic behind the request, but I can certainly get on board with the request itself. 2 keys a day for VIP - yes please.

    This would be an unreasonable request, since the value of Zen only increased by 50%. 1.5 keys per day on the other hand....

    Right. And wrong. Zen is not suddenly worth more, just because they increased the AD cost on the ZAX. They simply shifted one imaginary price point to another imaginary price point further down the scale. You are right about that. If you think that the devs wanted to increase the "value" of Zen, relative to AD, they could have done it at any time. Given the Borked nature of the economy, it would have been a good move for them. Temporarily boosting cash Zen sales, and what not. Two things stopped them. First was the Russian server. We have proof that the "good ole days" of 500 AD Zen are never coming back. The other thing is, artificial market manipulations are a slippery slope. Once you start fudging the numbers, you usually hafta keep doing it. Even if you don't want to. And it gets easier to justify next time. ANd next time. And the time after that...

    Also, the AD/Zen exchange has nothing to do with VIP, so no, they don't owe you more rewards.

    If the dollar value of zen increased, maybe. Grinding AD to turn into zen, not so much. Zen is how they make their money.
