Patch Notes: NW.110.20190411b.22

Highlights
Level Scaling
  • Barovia is no longer affected by item level scaling. (Castle Ravenloft is still scaled.)
    • Known issue: The intro quest and other instanced quests in Barovia are still affected by item level scaling. This scaling will be removed from these instances in a future patch.
  • Maze Engine, as well as other affected content, should no longer have enemies spawn at levels significantly higher than the player.
  • In places that scale item level and character level, the player's item level is no longer scaled down more than expected.
  • Weapon damage now properly reduces when scaled down. Various dungeons have been given higher level scaling values to compensate.
Known Issues
  • As mentioned above, Unwelcome Guests and other Barovian instances are currently level scaled.
  • The first group of enemies in the Maze Engine repeatable quest, Rescue Drow Slaves, incorrectly spawns at level 81.
  • The tooltip of Decanter of Atropal Presence does not currently match its damage dealt.
  • Tomb of the Nine Gods: Defiant Souls still have way too much health.

Release Notes

Content and Environment
Undermountain
  • Completing the Quest to Vanrakdoom campaign task now immediately completes the related quest objective, rather than upon logging out and back in.
  • Players can now go to the Yawning Portal if they have completed the introductory quest, An Important Invitation, but haven't checked it in.
  • Undermountain campaign reminder quests can no longer be abandoned.
Acquisitions Incorporated
  • Nobleman Extraction: Leaving River District after talking to the Harper Envoy no longer prevents players from returning.
General
  • Chult no longer reduces the player's item level more than expected.
  • Master of the Hunt: The Legendary Chest once again properly uses Bramble Keys before Legendary Dragon Keys.
  • The Stronghold Marauders event should no longer automatically fail.

Demogorgon
  • Enemies in this trial should no longer attack players in safe areas.
Tomb of the Nine Gods
  • Skeletal Spearmen now have less health.
General
  • Maze Engine, as well as other affected content, should no longer have enemies spawn at levels significantly higher than the player.
  • The low-level damage and health values are a bit smoother going into Blacklake District.

Combat and Powers
Artifacts
  • Skull Lord Staff: The skeletons summoned by this artifact no longer deal an immense amount of damage.
Boons
  • PvP boons that gave obsolete ratings have now been updated to give the proper ones.
Classes and Balance
  • Rogue: Dark Reimbursement now triggers only once per AoE attack.
  • Rogue: Dark Reimbursement now delays its stealth refill, so that it occurs when outside of stealth.
  • Warlock: Immolating Spirits should no longer stick around after their summoners leave a map.
  • Wizard: The "Diminish" debuff, caused when taking damage while Shield is active, now properly has information.
Enchantments and Enhancements
  • Bronzewood Enhancement (and other similar enhancements) now properly provide the appropriate debuff values when using ground-targeted AoE powers.
  • Vorpal weapon enhancements no longer affect players who cast powers targeting themselves, such as the Barbarian's power Bloodletter.
Scaling
  • In places that scale item level and character level, the player's item level is no longer scaled down more than expected.
  • Weapon damage now properly reduces when scaled down. Various dungeons have been given higher level scaling values to compensate.

Items and Economy
Gear
  • A Barbarian artifact at Legendary quality had a too-high item level, and has had it lowered.

  • Certain Fighter artifact weapons no longer have a locked secondary slot at Epic quality.
  • Undermountain body pieces now properly give the power Undermountain Hunter rather than Barovian Hunter.
Professions
  • The items "Bibliothol," "Mana Plaster," "Reliquary Wax," and "Enchanted Loam" are once again able to be crafted. They can be found as level 65 recipes in the Artificing and Blacksmithing professions. This allows players to restore relic weapons from Module 10: Sea of Moving Ice.

  • Lockbox of the Mad Mage no longer has a chance to drop Tranquil enchantments.

  • The Neverwinter Vanguard Pack, and certain other promo packs, now properly give Intense Injury Kits to level 80 characters who open them.
  • The 10-pack of Power Points from the Anniversary can now be exchanged for 35,000 Refinement Points.
Zen Market
  • Companion coupons once again properly affect companion purchases.
  • The Undermountaineer's Pack will be in the Zen Market for free from maintenance on May 9th until maintenance on May 16th. It can be claimed once per account, and the included title can be reclaimed once on each character on the account after claiming the pack.

UI
Companions
  • When training is complete, the notification no longer shows an incorrect rank.
General
  • "Gather Your Party" circles now disappear when players are added to or removed from the party.

  • Certain Utility stats are now properly localized in enchantment and artifact modification tooltips.
  • French, German, Italian, and Russian text is now fully up-to-date.

Rogue AoE is going to be so lackluster now.

Wish that the HP boons had been addressed before the PVP boons.

Thank you for spot fixing scaling, hopefully it will fix solo play in Chult.

Im shocked by the scaling of weapon dmg. Hopefully the increase u guys planned for higher value scaling is gonna make up for it, because it sincerely not a fix that we needed (or wanted should I say), or both. Or not.

So still no fix for fishing in Sea of Moving Ice? No fix for Icewind Dale, Sharandar, and Dread Ring treasure cache? C'mon man.

Castle Ravenloft - Strahd STILL has the newly infused power to make players crash in game while fighting him. STILL NO FIX? HURRAY THE MOST RECENT DUNGEON IS UNPLAYABLE AND USELESS.

I dont think this patch will fix anything. The reason is that none of them are playing and they made that obvious during the podcast. All they are doing is playing with the formulas. They need to remove scaling from Barovia and CR and the instances to see how that goes. This will show them that they made a HUGE error with the scaling formula and how it is currently setup.
CR does not work right now. The end is bugged and crashed the game. You would think that would be a HIGH priority but because they refuse to test anything anymore it will not get fixed along with other issues...Soooo disappointed right now.

Anyone playing another game? after this "patch" I think the zones are going to be even more empty...

I am not seeing anything about the "Claim Reward" being stuck on the screen being fixed.

This is preventing anyone that has this bug from completing ANY heroic encounter in any zone

This I think is a huge problem with this patch...Dread Legion was painful. Boss took much longer today after patch than it has all week. Icy Knife barely took a couple pixels off his bar.

Actually the Game shouldn't have Scaling but a Scale from about 2 to 4 each side of a level and anyone that feels the need to do a level 40 dungeon at level 5 should level up with quests and places the Quests go and then get into the dungeon. Finds the Scaling here has a lot to be desired. Variables are at times so wildly out of the way it should be, even higher levels at higher level areas say The Sword Coast Quest at level 70 and can't do ANY Damage to the Enemies makes it like huh???????????????
