Mobs do to much damage especially bosses

Hello I am complaining about mobs doing to much damage since mod 16 release. As a long time player and a guild leader I am getting complaints from guild members that and mobs are doing to much damage to players even in lower areas especially the bosses. So I rolled a new character and sure enough the lower areas that where once easy are now harder especially the bosses. So not just the dungeons but most of the areas are harder. Like other people I have had several people leave the game because of this. So please tweak mob levels to where there are easier to kill ty!

    I wouldn't have as much of a problem with the increase damage and damage resistance of the Mod16 mobs and bosses - if player stats weren't so heavily nerfed...

    By the same token I wouldn't have as much of a problem with player stats being nerfed - if the damage dealt and ignored by mobs and bosses wasn't more than they were pre-Mod16...

    There must have been some kind of serious thought process behind someone deciding to so greatly diminish the abilities of player characters while at the same time make their opponents much more buffed...

    But for the life of me I cannot figure out what that might have been.

    I have noticed from the patch notes, developers are raising the minimum item level for players wishing to participate and scaling back some of the power to mobs and bosses for higher level dungeons... but only higher level dungeons... I suppose the rest, new players and low level players and those of us who don't run that higher level content yet will just have to suck it up and take it while the higher level players and end-gamers get their content moderated to be less difficult.

    bosses i would expect to hit hard if you're standing in a red zone.

    they can only do so much in one patch, yes adjusting the dungeons is a start but they need time to get everything just right. I just as frustrated as everyone else here with the scaling but i'm willing to give them time before i make any huge discisions.

    I already stated I'll probably remain at least until the next anniversary date, giving two months to attempt to identify and address perceived problems... longer if it appears anything is actually being done to address some things a majority of players seem to have a problem with.

    Already there appears to be an effort to address problems based on player observations for Epic and Intermediate dungeons, but as I said, so far - ONLY - Intermediate and Epic level dungeons…

    But as you said @auron#6793 it is “a start”.. at least I hope it's a start and not what anyone considers "good enough" for the time being and we all have to wait for any other adjustments based on problems perceived by a majority of regular players.

    The only decision I've made so far is to be much more frugal about spending real world currency on the game when on at least two occasions (Mod6 and now Mod16) a good portion of what I spent my money on seems to have been made obsolete and therefore a waste of funds.

    Are the bosses doing too much damage to people in general, or are they doing so much damage to the tank that the healer can't keep up?

    If it is the dps people that take to much damage it probably is some tactics that need adapting.
    * Dps must stay out of the mobs melee zone, usually behind the mob
    * Dps need to stay out of red...

    If it is the tank/healer combo that can't keep up, there might be a tuning problem that should be brought to the attention of Cryptic

    People are in general spoiled in NW, up to mod 16 you could go face to face with most mobs as long as they did not oneshot you. Basically solo type play even in group content. This has changed, now you need to use proper group tactics.

    Just complaining about damage levels really just leads to suspicion that this player did not yet adapt to proper group play.
    No, you can't solo dungeons any more. And it seems to be intended that content take longer time to complete now.

    I thing is, as you said most players have just gotten used to ignoring damage from mobs and even bosses in many cases because of there previous character enhancements, like Life Steal and Recovery for example and now that they have to be more cognizant of the damage from mobs and bosses as well as their new inability to ignore much of that damage it's going to take getting used to...

    I laughed so hard I had to AFK for a few seconds as a couple of members of the party kept trying to run ahead and kept getting sent back to the healing circle in another Caverns of Karrundax run. All of the other party members just made it to the healing circle when they resurrected beside us the first time, but instead of waiting and running with the rest of the party they once again ran ahead (we couldn't keep up with their SW and GWF speed) and had their asses handed to them a second time. We waited for them before confronting the boss but even then they didn't play as a party and seemed to think they could use the same tactics they used pre-Mod16. One died again and just left the other decided to stay with the party and play a little more cautiously.

    Unfortunately even with a replacement player the group was not able to complete the Caverns of Karrundax run as the dragon and mobs at the end were just too over powering (a lot of players got one-shoted by the dragon and couldn't get back in for the final boss battle) for the people in our group and we all eventually decided to just abandon the instance.

    I understand that high level dungeons should be hard but low level areas come on it took one guild member 30 min and dying 5 times to kill the boss at the end of Helms Hold in the Sanatorium it should not be this hard!

    i just rage deleted the game because of ARCTURIA L75 Boss that destroyed me over and over in a solo Undermountain quest...

    I had no chance to defend at all...... Stunned, freezed > dead rinse repeat....

    No thanks...

    i return if they get this game fixed
