Party Character Portraits are missing

Not sure if this is intentional or not, but the character portrait next to each party member name is missing. If this IS intentional, I would have to ask WHY???? I like that feature.

I asked about this in another thread. I assume itit intended but maybe they'll give us the ability to turn it back.

It is intended. I'm not sure on the reasons. @midnightlight#2361 would be able to answer that.

It needs to be returned, I like to be able to see the other party members at a glance.

I liked having the self portrait and party portraits also. +1 for being able to toggle them on and off, at least self portrait anyway.

I agree. Self portrait and party portraits I always enjoyed.
If it comes down to a toggle setting, I can live with that.
Please let us have the option at least of getting these back.

What a strange decision. Yes, please add them back. It's especially valuable within a Guild/Alliance, as it helps you recognize everyone's look over time.

Seems odd to think that streamlining a UI and removing any charm or personality from a UI go hand in hand.

Seems like more of a "streamlining bandwidth" decision than improving a UI.

I love the change, it allowed me to re-arrange my HUD on test so that the buff bar and the threat indicator is right above my powers bar, which is much handier when running the game on a 5k ultrawide.

Please give us the option to enable/disable them. Ultimately streamlining the HUD is only of interest to some players. Fortunately, neither option unbalances anything and since no one can see your HUD but yourself, affects nothing except the enjoyment of the individual player.

I spend time and resources on my characters' appearance. Losing the ability to see them will be a perpetual annoyance.

A toggle would be nice, that way everyone's happy.

This is works as designed. We may add the functionality in settings to add them back in the future. Party portraits returning has not been discussed yet. We removed them in an effort to streamline and simplify our HUD.

Have you considered the option of making the UI of portraits the same as on the console versions of Neverwinter? (XboX One and PS4?), as in this screenshot?

Please consider this option I love to see the portrait of my character and my summoned partner seeing them disappear forever I don't really like it and then the new Ui that is now in beta and very similar to how it looks for members of a party on XBOX one and Ps4, so please consider taking the UI of the portrait of the console versions as an example and importing it into the PC version of Neverwinter.

in addition to the moment the VIP icon is missing near the portrait of your character if this is a bug please solve it, if I intend to appear a VIP or check my VIP level status as I do if I can not access from the interface ?

I of the new portrait UI, however, would keep these two things:

the "combat / out of Combat" marker and very nice would be interesting to develop this feature ... maybe if you are going to be spotted by an enemy it could become yellow or orange so as to give a signal to the player that an enemy is you observing.

I personally like having the portrait as something I can right click on to bring up the party commands menu. As it is on preview now, it just doesn't feel intuitive as to exactly where I can click to do the same thing. The companion portrait is also needed so that I can tell at a glance which companion, if any, I have summoned.

Please add the portrate back. made it much easier to tell at a glance your party members and who's who. I can't imagine a toggle would be to hard to add to the HUD options

I really wish they would just add in an option for stuff like this. I mean on console we get the very short end of a stick as it is with no customization. But instead of just taking it out why not, i dont know, ask the community first? Or as others stated make it optional. You cant please everyone, but having more customization in the UI would be a huge improvement in my opinion. And thats just for PC. Console users wont ever get any love in that aspect, which is sad. I wont even ask for it. We just get 1 and done. Cant even change Brightness... Our graphics settings "limit frame rate: yes/no? "

@epicfenix43 that “combat mode indicator” is actually your aggro meter. The more it fills the more you have, if it’s red you have all the aggro. This and the ability to separately move and scale your buff bar is a huge improvement for the game.

I had wanted this portraits back until I saw the new functionality in team and character HUD elements, and I would readily give up the portraits to keep that functionality.
