Can we change weapon appearances with profession weapons?

I made steel falchions today, so i could change the appearance of my stronghold axes, lo and behold it didnt work. Is this intended?

Would be nice to use profession armor and weapons to change the appearance of gear.

    One would think you'd be able to provided the gear or the weapon isn't protected.

    The profession gear is bugged. It cannot be used as transmutes right now. The devs are aware of it.

    Thanks, yeah i thought its bugged :(. Well, just gotta wait i quess.

    Nothing except M16 seems to be on the list to fix right now.
