Well, it was for a little bit... went back down at 12:29EST 10/27. Sheesh, no sooner than I saw your post, I fired it up, got back in... made it to the bank, then got the "server not responding" count and then... disconnected.

I'd suggest everyone wait to do anything important (like open Pinatas, make purchases or building brooms) until the connection is a little more stable.

The world is bigger than the west coast. In Europe is Saturday morning, with tons of players waiting. International games need international support 24/7, weekends included.
Game gets serviced during the working hours of where the Cryptic office is and where the data center is. That would be Pacific Time.

Maintenance hopefully means more stability in future. I give you all the night / day off to go and be social, play other games, catch up on a series, watch a movie or just sit outside and enjoy life. Tomorrow it is back to the grind

I love how people don't bother looking for information before loosing their indignant (and ignorant, as it happens) rage on the forums and instead just run to try and be the first to complain about a problem when many times (most times, actually), it's not a problem but a planned thing that if they'd spent 2 minutes researching, they'd see that, see why it was coming down, and wouldn't end up looking like uninformed mouth breathers.
(this, by the way, is a tremendous example of a run-on sentence. My 6th grade English teacher would be so proud)
