Will the chultan tiger still be dps bis when the new mod comes out?

Can someone tell me if the Chultan tiger will still be bis or will the new mod 14 be better for dps class??

    While he is BIS for personal dps, I switched to con artist as active companion. 3 ring slots and the debuff, no significant personal dps boost and a defense slot, but I have heard enough players complaining about his (tiger) slow attack rate and been in enough runs, where a hoard of tigers hinder the party and the NPCs.
    Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.

    I find that the main problem with the tiger is that it doesnt seen to stay alive for more than 10-15 seconds in end game content and loves to dive of the platform in codg. I'm looking to replace it, I've never had such a squishy companion before.
