Purchasing Zen packages during the Holiday Event

Hey all, I have what is probably a really dumb question, but one I need to clarify before I spend a bunch of money:
Does the holiday event track and total together all purchases for the entire duration of the event? I see that I get the greatest amount of gifts with a purchase of 20,000 Zen, but when I open up the store to buy, the largest package is for 11,000 (for ~$85). I figure I'll just buy that twice, for a total of 22,000 Zen, and satisfy the requirement. But I just wanted to make sure the game doesn't do something silly like evaluate each purchase separately, as in two 11,000 purchases, neither of which get me the full compliment of 20k bonus gifts.
