hey guys got up this morning wanting to play neverwinter and the thing is telling me a internal error is going on and can't log in from Arc or the regular icon to click to start game don't know what is up

i cant finish with fresh downloads on new PC, it stopped at 46%, then gave up and tried Champions, nothing patching. i think Arc is down. wasted my weekend, then went to Steam, and it is working, but they dont inlcuded daily ARC log bonus.

If ever ARC doesn't work, and the game servers are still up, you don't need ARC or Steam running to play the game, regardless of how it was installed. Just navigate to the game's installation location and find "Neverwinter.exe" then either run it directly from there or create a shortcut to it and run it from the shortcut. You don't even need either installed to install Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, or Champions online. Just make a backup of the Neverwinter.exe launcher and if you ever need to reinstall the game, copy the launcher to a custom made directory for it and run it.

on new PC? then how you make backups? with new PC has nothing or any games installed. i did tried without arc launcher, it failed and show errors, it stalled up, then i tried Steam vault, it works.
i couldnt use username or password because it doesnt complete any downloads just to get my account confirmed, so i had to use Steam and got confirmed.
so i think it is Arc is having issue with their code and not knowing or they maybe hiding from players and even moderators. they just need a new fresh Arc update, maybe they dont recognize disk drive E and they are still using disk drive C.

this mean, i cant no longer buy Zen if i am on Steam, i heard alot of problems, and then also i cant do any arc' daily bonus. thery really need new arc launcher re-edition.
what i have seen, many are moving to upgrading PC from window 7s to win10, and disk E are bigger disk space than classic disk C, i remember win97, winME, and winXP doesnt have that kind and now newer PC got so many newer disc, program (x86) and other just added in and these werent recognized from outdated launcher and that why some downloads didnt work or not placed correctly.

Backup Neverwinter.exe to a thumb drive or something, even the cloud as a zip file (Dropbox/Onedrive/Etc), copy it to the new PC. Also, the first thing the game will download is the Launcher, as long as this is downloaded, you can back it up, uninstall ARC/Steam, put the launcher where you want the game to install, then run it. As for buying through Steam, if you want this route, then yeah, you need to run Steam so I don't understand why you'd try without in the first place. However, I suggest to not buy through Steam as it is well known that buying through steam puts your purchase on a probation period, causing purchases to be bound while PWE waits for Steam to make its periodic payments to PWE. It's always best to buy directly from the "Charge" link uptop this very site.

my old PC died and it is unrecoverable. but i finally got Arc actively running now, it is downloading and updating NWO as i typed this post, will take hours, then get back STO and Champions when it is done.
i just need time to understand all new gadgets on new PC and win10.
ugh, win10 still too bloated with junks like win7, i prefer classic winXP where it was easier and simple fixes.

anyway, it look like a good sign, it is running and loading, see in several hours later.

It has been all day. It says the ARC server has an internal error.

I just tried then and the Neverwinter.exe kept crashing. Hoping ARC gets the server problem fixed soon!
