After consideration and a few test runs, I actually consider Heart of the Black Dragon to be the better artifact for increasing our team's damage.

The only time I would consider Sigil of the 9 is if you're in a team where a MoF Rene or DO DC is using the Black Dragon Heart, since multiple ranks at mythic don't stack (and you want mythic so you can spam the debuff more often). Those two builds likely won't use Sigil of the 9 due to how low its buff is (and the meh stats for them), but since the stats are good for us, we can easily swap it in to active if the situation arises.

This is something I cannot answer, as I personally just bought the weapons (laziness). I would defer to the judgement of the masterworkers I know such as @greyjay1 to answer this, since, well they would know more about masterworking than I do.

From what I know, Masterwork v2 weapons for the melee classes (GF/GWF/TR/OP/HR melee) are much cheaper than the ranged weapons (CW, DC, SW, not sure about HR bow prices). Production costs on the GF weapons are pretty cheap on PC, about 2-3 mil from what I hear.

What is the duration of the debuff on the heart of the black dragon?

Seems to be only around 5ish seconds.

I did a rough test on my Paladin's mythic Heart of the black dragon. This is the ACT screenshot if you wish to see/analyze, although keep in mind it may not be the most accurate because I didn't eliminate most of the outside variables.

I am not really an expert of the Black Dragon Heart (ie, I don't know all of its intricacies), so I'll defer to @oria1 or Sharpedge, should they know the exact duration better than I do.

    About armor specialisation.
I once checked this by using ACT.
Not 100% sure bc >1 year ago, but I think you can monitor the effect by looking at the effectiveness of your opponent. His damage/effectiveness is punished for 15%

    Hi again
About Frost weap ench. How exactly works it's work with boss? 10% DR works 10 sec and after we must wait 10 sec for next 10 sec debuff?

    Yeah.

Right now it's -10% defense (uncapped category), but come Mod12, it effectively becomes -10% DR (because Mod12 debuffs are one category).

Since Frost is mostly only really useful for burst fights/uncapped debuff properties, we might want to consider swapping enchants.

Despite all my jokes about it, I might start recommending Terror because of how the debuff is actually useful in Mod12, because of how the debuff is easy to keep up, and because of how cheap Terror is.

I ask about it, cuz i think maybe it's time to change my frost for plague. I know plague isnt perfect but it's really good.

Although I personally "preferred" Frost, I never said it was the definitive ultra BiS Tactician enchant. So if you prefer another enchant, then go ahead and change!

I can definitely say that with the Mod11 changes, it's a bit easier to keep up 3x Plague stacks, leading to Plague having better uptime than Frost.

Guys, have you seen the new legendary mount (Dinosaur)? I know it might get some changes, but I think its totally BiS.

    Meh.

2000 ArmPen/2000 Power doesn't do much for our build (if you need the ArmPen, you're better off picking am Epic 2k ArmPen mount that's cheaper and accountbound).

The active could has its uses for debuffing purposes, but, tbh, that's kind of a hefty investment just to get an additional debuff which doesn't have good uptime.

If you're all about debuffing, then I guess the new legendary dino is for you, but I'd much prefer the Legendary Lion because its just as useful for a Protector as it is a Tactician and Conqueror. You can never really go wrong with an extra emergency shield for the "I dun goof'd" situations (and, if you ever decide to run Conqueror, you even get a small damage bonus similar in nature to Wheel of Elements Fire.)

Are they taking away the 75% effective against lvl73 enemies? If so, is the heart of the black dragon still going to be the best debuff artifact when considering the uptime?

Yes, debuff mitigation and the level 73 3/4ths nonsense are going away (although player attacks will still only be 3/4ths as effective on level 73 enemies).

Another thing is that all debuffs are effectively going to be placed into a single category, making the debuff formula:

    (1- enemy DR + player RI) * (1 + Sum of Debuffs)

Which means, that we worry less about the "uncapped/capped" separation and more about the strength and uptime of the debuff. Most debuff artifacts don't really have a great uptime, so we'll just look for debuff strength and then just apply the debuffs at the right moment.

So, assuming Mod12 debuffs don't get changed, then I can safely reccomend Chromatic Storm (20%, but debuff is inaccurate), Lantern of Revelation (16%, easy to find and use), and Heart of the Black Dragon (15%, but you can use the artifact more often if you have 2 other Dragonhearts).

Thanks @rjc9000. Why is the Chromatic Storms debuff inaccurate? And what do you think about the Bronzewood (if it was broken)?

The way that Chromatic Storm works is that the meteors fall in a pentagon pattern, with the acid (debuff) meteor being one of the lower right angles. Since the AoE splash radius is rather small, that means you need to pray the acid meteor hits in the right spot. In addition, the meteor doesn't really have good homing, so if your target is moving/has a small hitbox, you're unlikely to hit your intended target.

(I am experimenting with gifs right now, so if I ever get the chance to demonstrate the inaccuracy of the meteors, I'll show it via gif).

On larger targets (ex: Lostmauth), it's pretty easy to land the acid meteor debuff.

As for the Bronzewood question... I'm not sure. I hear that the tooltip got changed so you "deal 16% more damage" (ie, it should be a 16% debuff in theory), but I hear that the debuff doesn't match the tooltip or anything. In any case, I'm going to wait for @michela123 to figure it out and then beg her for help, since she knows debuffs much better than I do.

Of the 4, I would personally pick Fey.

Although the Aboleth set technically has the "best" set bonus, the set bonus effect we would want (+2000 Lifesteal) is random, and I'm all about consistency.

Fey's AP Gain, while not the greatest, has a consistent effect which actually does something for our build other than extra damage (more AP = more Fighter's Recovery). Plus, Nostura is the least headache inducing of all weapons (in my opinion) and will likely have have a decent bit of people lining up to run it, which means it'll be easy for you to tag along to get the Fey stufff.

Can't be because of race, I think the GFs you're looking at are Conqueror DPS builds. Lifeforged makes sense, given the synergy with the GF's naturally high defenses, although there is the possibility that the other weapons' set bonuses give a better damage buff.

Check those GFs you're looking at again: if they're running things like Vivified Shieldbearer's Raid Amor, Azures/Brutals in offense slot, or the Orcus set, then those are DPS Conqueror GFs you're looking at.

If they're running things like we're running (ex: Valhalla Set, high Lifesteal/defense, Dancing Shield, Silveries in offense, etc.), then I have no clue as to why they picked the Lifeforged. Hybrid build maybe? Maybe Lifeforged was easiest for them to get? I can't say.

I got lifeforged, hoping it would increase my aggro. Also better for my grinding loadout. Maybe I went wrong there.

Just catching up here, but I think GFs who don't read builds or forums or do much research all go for Lifeforged because it sounds like the obvious choice for tanking. Just a general social observation. I am incapable of stopping them all in exactly the same regard as I am incapable of deterring most people from pursuing an Abolethic set.

Yeah, I went for Aboleth hoping it would help with generating aggro. But now I wish I had gone Fey for the extra AP gain. Oh well.

Also the feature where the aboleth set makes the mobs do the "dance" makes it harder to judge some attacks.

Also, RJC - not sure if I've said thanks for this guide and also all the rest of the help you provide, but if not - thnx

Errr whats wrong with lifeforged again? 0_o I am perfectly happy with mine tbh. 2-3k power once in a while. Ap gain is nice & all but do we tacticians even need more ap? Also running dailies with pure tact buff build is rare "joy" so more dps-like weapon set might help with solo loadouts. About t-rex legendary mount. In combat power has some nice uses actually. For example it instakills glowing skeletons/whatever it is on tong last boss =) Debuff stucks with itsleff too. At least for warpainted + commander. Agreed lion's shiled is absolutely the best. But hey one can have both =)

P.S. Ty for the updated guide. Really nice read & great piece of information

Lifeforged, and to a lesser extent, any of the RD weapons aren't a "bad" choice for our build, it's just that I feel that the Lifeforged set bonus does very little compared to the miniscule benefit of the Fey weapon. Sure, 1-2k extra power and the occasional 10% AP do very little in the long run, but one buffs our non-existent DPS and the other gives us more Fighter's Recovery.

Either way though, feel free to run any of the weapons you feel like, as their main benefit is extra aggro capability.

Hello again. With the 2X upon us now. I hope you can answer this in time.. If not MY FAULT for waiting so long.

I was wonder your opinion on the 2 types of Main and off hand weapons.. I have both the Fey and the Titansteel main and off hand weapons .I have not put much RP into either at this point.
I was able to get my hands on the Valalla set as well .

But anyway , Of the two sets. Is the Titian still BIS for your build as well the Valahlla set still what you are recomending?'
Thank you for whatever input you can share

Titansteel and Valhalla set are still our hands down best weapons/neck and belt set.
