I'd have quit too in that case - you'll remember my 3 points on what would make me leave?

    (a) someone refusing to get in the circle (b) lots of attitude/rudeness in chat (c) someone keeps trying to votekick others.

  • Tbh I am a gwf and I am actually getting fed up of tanks running straight through every encounter and leaving some characters to face off every single encounter, they go through to try and make it go faster when at the point every monster catches up and then they Constantly kill everyones characters because the party isn't together, I know alot of blame can be put to the dps but it isn't always them that are the culprits of this

My thoughts on this issue is two-fold:

1.) If it is a PUG, then I truly believe that each person should play their "role" and the DPS should follow the tank into engagements, and not run ahead at all. Why? Because since it is a PUG, no one there knows how "good" any one else there is at playing their class. So stick together just to be safe.

2.) If you are running with people you know, I.E. Guildies/alliance members, then go ahead and play how you want. If that Leeroy Jenkins GWF wants to run ahead in MSP and agro literally everything and die in 5secs....then go ahead. These are the runs to have real fun in, and try new things/builds in. Not in PUGS. I know I have trolled my guildies on more than one occasion by popping ITF running ahead agroing everything and bringing them right back to them. Or push an enemy off a cliff in FBI while a DPS is in middle of attacking and they fall off with the enemy, always worth a laugh.

Running Shores it's like Groundhog day... watch as Speedy Gonzalez and his pal dash off trying to rush to the end, draw every encounter and when they hit the bottle neck everyone is in a pitch battle with every encounter. Which only speeds things up if no one dies.

Everyone always seems to want to avoid the spiders on the ledge before the bridge in ETOS until someone dies and everyone's left waiting while the squishy who died tries in vain to get through them and catch up.

One thing that seems to be a move forward is that recently I'm seeing a lot more group requests in PE specifying "speed run". Great... I know not to join with my low IL DC or GWF, but my higher level CW might jump in for a laugh.

I feel your pain. While I have never tanked in Neverwinter, I have seen so many people rush ahead and die, causing a domino effect and subsequent leaving. I was a tank back when I used to play WoW almost ten years ago, and there's a reason why I never chose a tank in any games I played after that. Thank you for your service.

Sure, there are deeps that don't wait and tanks that run ahead but my current gripe with lack of support classes is that they go in with a dps loadout and don't swap back to support unless there are multiple wipes. Cmon...do that in private queue please? Overpowered GFs and DCs - I am looking at you. Assume you are going to pug with 8k ilvl toons and if you land in a good pug, go ahead and swap. If you go in full deeps and 2 squishies keep getting picked up it's no fun for everyone. My 2 cents.
FWIW, my main is a 14.4 TR now and I pug a lot but only up to CN. CN pugs with new Orcus take too long so I rarely do it. SVA and above should not be pugged. Period. When I couldn't get MSVA alliance runs I went to SoMI and got into a group. Queue system is not the only method...
Being nice to support players goes a long way. If your tank or heals do well, send them a ty at the end and be specific...nice work / good buffs etc.

    Sending SMoPs also works.

The only board that matters is paingiver, all roles are dps these days. Gear up or walk....lol. I am half kidding and half serious. It seem like the tank and healer role is almost non existent any more.

Many DPS classes seem to forget that they have speed boosts not available to tanks or supports. On my Prot-OP I run shep's devo and arti's persuasion mostly so I can keep pace with the GWFs and SWs that run ahead.

GFs are the quickest class in the game when equipping their speedboost, frey and using Gladiators Guille. Pally's can keep the lead by using sheppards devotion, artifacts persuasion and gladiators guille.
