Epic Contest: Drowned Shore Foundry Style

@terramak @strumslinger , the Cryptic people.

This Foundry contest has been going on since June 2015. So out of the last 10 months, maybe five of those months had an unaccessabile/unusable Foundry system. My math may be wrong, it may be less. It may be more.

Since the contest was announced:
1) After August 2015 Strongholds module, Foundry was down 6-7 weeks. The deadline had to be pushed back.
2) When Foundry came back up, there was the sound bug that crashed the editor. The community decided to wait for a fix to decide to extend or not, so people could finish their entries.
3) End of October - The fix was made, but then noone could rate/review the foundries. Deadline extended again. Not able to rate or review for another month I want to say.
4) Underdark/Demogorgon went live during that same time, so add a couple more weeks of Foundry being down.
5) Maze Engine went live, Foundry down for a month now, for some problems above and beyond republishing it seems from Strum's announcement.

At this point, I feel all the existing main contest entrants and easter egg entrants should receive something extra from Cryptic for their patience. I mean, the effort was made to help push the Foundry forward, and you supported this contest too. You vouched for it. But the ridiculous down time and glitches... it hurt there being more entries, hurt the number of people that even played them when they were featured, and hurt further the appeal your customer base had for the Foundry.
But I'm not saying anything new. Just think about it, please. For the waiting to have been at least a little worthwhile.

But honestly, I don't really care if the prizes are split equal between the authors, that means: 750 k for @eldarth, @torontodave and for me @zachariah92, we all deserve it.

I think there're 3 community prizes still going on, so I'll suggest to hurry up before the new mod of "Storm King's Thunder" shows off, because probably everything will explode again...

@torontodave Nope, they're still around, just different names. It also appears the catalog is stuck again, but at least these squeaked through and were available to finish this up.

I'm thinking once they get re-re-published (again!) maybe we'll leave community easter egg contest open for another week and then close the whole thing out -- I think we only have another half-dozen entrants on at least one of them.

The foundry was down for a long period of time after all.

This post is almost a year removed from the last post. The contest finished up shortly before we lost the editor for six months or so. We just recently got the editor back, so it may be some time before folks do another contest. Several folks left the game during the outage, and there needs to be a willing community member to donate prizes in order for these community contests to generate interest. There also has to be someone with the spare time to organize and select judges for a contest. Maybe after word gets out some folks will return, or some new folks will step forward willing to organize, there might be a new one.
