How does the feat "Menacing Impact" work?

in The Guard Barracks
"Villains Menace now has 1/2/3/4/5 feet more range and both Terrifying Impact and Villain's Menace now deal 2/4/6/8/10% more damage."

How exactly does this work? Does it boost your damage in the power, or does this only boost the ground slam damage upon activation?

    The initial slamming hitbox/attack (whatever you want to call it) deals more damage and has more range.

    Doesn't affect the buffing component to VM, last I checked.
