I hate that they make us toil through 30+ days of dailies before we can do the actual fun content. Why bring out a module then test our patience and will to play the game when you should be drawing us in : /
I was disappointed with SoMI, and its ridiculous requirements to restore/refine the Artifact items. I was hoping it was a singular incident. Apparently it is the new trend. Less content; more grind. I admit to enjoying the Elemental Evil campaign much more that the last two updates. I find myself enjoying the Cloaked Ascendancy module a fair bit. I like that I get a choice in how I complete the Daily mission, and I can complete the campaign in the way that I see fit.
I think it is more difficult to build/write/produce a module than most people expect. Some players want to get the end game dungeon ASAP. Other like the story, and still others just want the best new stuff. Perfect World has to make a module that the majority will be happy with. I will never play the end game dungeon, and I am slow at getting boons. I have no interest in grinding this module. I will play when, and how I want, and I will have fun with my friends while doing it.

just because its better then mod 10.. doesnt make it as good as modules before that point.. there is too much pita HAMSTER (endless recycled tasks.. )
that many of us will have to do for 3 months..
I mean really.. whats the point of making us do so many dig sites?
I dont think its better then mod 10. Actually module 10 was much better( Even look better). You can farm lanolin, turtle, treasure maps etc and sell them, what can you do in module 11 ? Nothing. Scruw new weapons, Im buying relic ones for my alts. Its way quicker then this nonsense.
Good luck to get them to epic. I dont talk about to get them legendary ^^
There are msva runs every day and legendary marks now drop more often.. And like Santralafax said even green ones are good enough. Just buy treasure maps, legendary keys, save some AD for other stuff. For me personaly this is better option(and more fun) then grinding boring River district over and over for months :>
The legendary marks drop rate is improved, but I'm still getting a lot of blue and purple ones. One of my alts went from epic Elemental Fire set to green Relic (a monstrously big improvement) two weeks ago and her MH is already epic. The reatoration mats aren't dirt cheap but still a lot less than early Winter. Obviously the alt needs to be geared enough to complete the SoMI dailies.

Legendary marks are indeed dropping more frequently. Just finished upgrading my Offhand, now have both at Legendary. I ran Msva maybe two times a day since the key change, and both were epic with no legendary marks up until the key change.

I still find it hard to get S Marks of Ild, although I did finally finish my mainhand and have 1 mark toward offhand. I've got over 10 of Uvar and Stig left at this time. I can say that the drop has improved, but do not understand why one type of mark can lag so badly.

Some things are weirdly disproportionate when you think they'd drop at the same rate. Like alchemy vitriols from nodes/leadership boxes. I'd expect to acquire them roughly evenly by tier, but always have like 3x as much silver vitriol as yellow (and there's no way to even them out because crafting creates both at once).
Superior marks... I have 7 ILD but only 2 STIG and 3 UVAR. RNG doesn't remember from one roll to the next. Equal distributions only become likely in sequences far greater than we are capable of seeing with only the experiences of ourselves and those around us.

This is likely true of the marks, but in my example we are talking about thousands of vitriols just owned by me (literally 3 stacks of silver to 1 of yellow). I don't know what's going on with those, but if you ever looked at auction data for them, the disproportion is apparent there too in both listing prices and quantities available.
Yellow and Silver vitriol are two different results from the same loot table. There really isn't any way (for us as users) to know what the chance for either is. You get one or the other or something else each roll.
Marks are likely a flat x% when you open the chest, with the type being determined by which chest was opened. You get either the standard reward or the good reward each roll.
The dice are more likely to give you silver vitriol than yellow. They are more likely to give you blue/purple than orange. In the first case, yellow is rare. In the second it is orange which is rare.

It was an example of items where I'd expect them to drop at proportionate rates rather than getting way out of whack though. Same quality. You craft them at a 1:1 ratio. It doesn't make logical sense, and I'd expect common resources to even out when dealing with large quantities due to randomizing selections out of a pool rather than them being weighted to favour some items over others and results becoming dramatically spread out over a large sample.
Anyway, for some reason I had it in my head that Ild is a sticking point for a very large number of players, but that's also assuming that they can access each chest every time.
People have an issue with the ILD marks because the relevant 'key' comes from running the dailies in SoMI. As only one can be 'made' a day, it becomes a problem for people farming SVA. You can only replace free keys 1 a day... meaning that if you want a lot of runs, you will have to start using Legendary Dragon Keys.
I have the same issue at times with the vitriol as you. But we aren't the ones who set up the loot tables so it's anyone's guess what they were thinking.

I like the basic feel of the MOD and the storyline, just as I liked the feel and story of SKT, but then you discover the sheer grind built in and slowly all the fun gets sucked out of it.
Just because making the game is a job for the devs, they shouldn't make playing the game a job too!
