Sarkon'Iss invisible in "The Edge of the Underdark"

kjwashingtonkjwashington Member Posts: 33 Arc User
So I was playing through the mission "The Edge of the Underdark" and I finally reached the end where you have to fight Sarkon'Iss. When I entered the area, the cutscene played and then the room loaded for me to fight him, only he wasn't there. At first I though he would spawn if I killed all the spiders, and he sort of did. Only he was invisible and attacking me and my companion. I was able to beat him pretty easily still (I guestimated where he was based on the direction my companion was facing), but it just seemed odd. I could still hit him normally but combat powers wouldn't work. Is this an actual bug, or was this a power of his and I'm just stupid?

I'm not sure if you're confirming that this is a bug or are making a joke that since he's a spider... person, he's a bug. (Spiders aren't actually bugs/insects, they're arachnids.) Either way, well played. But yes, that picture you posted is from the cutscene where he is visible, and after that, he is not.

I realized it was a little punny, but this boss definitely does not have any special invisibility powers. I've seen occasional issues where a normal mob is invisible and I only know it's there because my companion is attacking the air, but never a boss (some have a stealth mechanic, but not permanent).

He's a drider. Blessed or cursed by Lolth. Which depends on which way the wind blows and how much they sucked up to her.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

I can confirm this. Happen to me as well a few days ago. Managed to kill him thanks to my companion tanking him, while myself had to used Rain of Arrows. Ironically, now Rain of Arrows does not work anymore.
