Ive been away from the game for quite some time. So with all the changes for mod 10, are there any good builds to make my life a little easier that you all could recommend. Im still fairly new to the hr as ive spent majority of my time playing as a tr. Thanks for any input or recommendations.

It depends on what tree you want to play: Archery, Combat or Trapper - the last of which is the highest dps tree. The build from Mod 9 or even before that hasn't really changed, with all your points going into the Trapper tree. I don't play Trapper so I can't link to a build for you but I'm sure someone else will.

So could you elaborate on that for me? twiqzi sorry to hijack your thread but im sure this is probably going to help you out a lot!
And thank you feels good to be back
T. Suwantemee - YouTube. You can find a combat and a trapper build and how these two builds are played. I don't claim they are the best but I like how things being explained there.

I like aspect of pack more than blade strom even before mod 10. Other than that I think the main change in mod 10 is that it is a bit harder to reset all power, especially for Plant growth. I tried to use cordon more often to fill gaps. Just my experience.

@ganja126: the 3 trees are fairly simple to explain. Archery is the ranged spec - you won't really switch to melee unless you're utilizing a buff like Hawk Eye. You'll be fighting at range although not too back otherwise you miss out on party buffs. It shines in single-target fights and anyone who tells you different is any uninformed or don't know how to play Archer. Not as good for AoE.
Combat is the melee spec, although you will and should be utilizing both stances. Weaker in single-target fights but amazing at AoE if playing Storm Warden. It's always been my favourite spec even when it was performing really badly. You'll always be in the thick of the action as Combat which is why I like it so much.
Trapper is the hybrid damage/control/make coffee spec. Before Mod 10 it was the only viable tree to get invited to pug parties in LFG because it could do anything the other 2 trees could muster and then some. The Mod 10 changes levelled the playing field 'somewhat' but at higher ILs Trapper is still moons ahead of Archery and Combat in damage. As Trapper you will constantly be switching stances and moving in and out of combat, and it's the tree that really makes use of both our class mechanics (stance-switching and roots).

1. the slow activation of RoA and cordon. By the time cordon or RoA lands, trapper or combat spec probably got most of the mob hp.
2. archer feat focus on single target
3. the area of cordon and RoA isnt big and weak against spread out or moving mob with high CC resist.
4. most trapper and combat use Plant Growth which is the most damaging and efficient encounter in HR arsenal.
But if you go around with GWFs/SWs then the best rotation is Binding, Longstrider and Commanding Shot on bosses (or even Binding, Hawk Shot, Commanding Shot if you want a lazy full ranged option)
