The GF Encounter Power Griffon's Wrath says;
"This ability has 3 encounter charges"
So, when respeccing my guy I got it. Stuns are good for interrupting after all...
The rank II and III advancement say "Charges; +1" each.
So I pushed it to rank III.
So how come I don't have 5 charges?

I'll put my next power point in and see if it gives me 4. I'm finding it very useful.
On your Powers screen does it say that it has three?

TBH the "Stun" could do with stunning a bit more than hardly ever and rarely enough to interrupt a decent red zone.

I got Earthen weapon set, so I prefer not to get knocked about. The stun is pitiful though.
I hadn't used it really on first run, and the GF had been more of a quarter master than anything else for a long time, so I couldn't really remember not getting 3 charges at L 5 or 10 or whenever I first got it.
On paper, when structuring a strategy for a build, it looked like a good idea.
But with its few charges, and HAMSTER stun along with my bonus damage combo not working it looks like I'll shelve him till mod 10 and respec him again then.
(Edit to add: My main TR uses Impact Shot this way which is also described as "Briefly Stuns" and that does interrupt stuff like Bone Golems in TOTDG so I assumed GW would do the same but its success at pausing a pummeling of the circles is low by comparison.)

I'm still building boons, so the 2.3k belies the fact that he's still nowhere near the finished product.
I'm not going near CN till I can get the build right. I want a balance of powers that's geared mainly toward solo, but also allows him to pug dungeon runs and not be a liability.
As much as I appreciate and admire the work of the guys who publish their builds...
a) I'd kind of like to get there on my own with good advice rather than a full instruction manual
and
b) Whenever I read those mega builds I start to flounder when it gets to the part where it tells you how many L12 enchants and mythic artefacts it takes for the build to be super effective.
