Vorpal or Lightning?

Can anyone help me understand how the vorpal enchantment works? Equipped or not my crit severity is always 98%. I keep thinking of switching to a lightning enchant but im not sure if that would be a good move. A 32% damage buff sounds pretty good though.

    Vorpal all the way. The increased crit severity doesn't show on your character sheet, but it's there.

    Lightning enchantment damage is a % of your weapon damage, which is probably going to be around 1500ish - meaning 32% damage = about 500ish. Mind you it procs every second, and will hit multiple enemies at higher ranks, but Vorpal will still provide much better dps overall.
    The value in lightning is in certain Scoundrel builds where it'll proc your Concussive Strikes.

    I use both... vorpal, trans... and lightning, trans. There is a cool down on lighting and it doesn't really help cool down your encounters for anything on tr. Stick with vorpal+smokebomb
