I play now myself a full combat build, after 2 years of being Trapper, I've also tried the hybrid build for a couple weeks, but since I focus at PVP, the full combat (pathfinder) does really perform better, but its of course a total different play style now.
You're still switching stances often enough if you're using Thorned Strike, Fox and Plant Growth - not as much and as fluently as Trapper granted but not so different. You're just not doing anything from range as Combat unless you open with Cordon.
I was using this exact rotation yes, but since few days I changed it using Ambush/Hindering/Plant Growth and I feel it's more fluent, I also took the Advanced Stalking as talent and the extra time added to Ambush make it even stronger and the stupid Bear Trap if used properly does some good damage even (again thanks of the slotted talent), and as at-wills I am using Split Shot and CA, I pretty much like this setup now and I am performing great with it.
Cordon is usedul if you are protecting a node alone, slap it down on entry points, and on the node itself, gives you some warning when anyone invisible is around. Other than that though, a bit of a waste I agree.
Anyone tried rain of arrows..? The melee is quick, has a tick, and the arrows last quite a while. I can imagine it being useful on mid in the initial craziness. I'd really like to land one on a SW when he's standing on his green circle.
