Tank overload?

One thing I've noticed is that most players seem to be rolling tanks, often I queue as a DPS for a dungeon and end up with 2 or 3 tanks with no healer. This baffles me since in most other MMO's Tanks are somewhat scarce. Is there any particular reason for this?

I don't think I've ended up with a tank yet. Or a healer. Usually a GWF though, so let them "tank".

OP is ment for either tanking or healing. or both

i see a lot of melee players and a lot of paladins. in particular i think the versatility of something that can tank/heal depending on set up attracted people. Then they played it and thought, wow this can actually do damage too, and stuck with it.

I too enjoyed my paladin game play, great fun. I prefered it over my warlock when i first started warlock. but already too many paladins in guild.

I see very few clerics though.

I like DC for the healing, debugging, and buffing the class provides. Not many around though.

I do both with my OP as a devotion pally, a protection can hold the aggro better than a devotion but I am able to take the hits and keep the group healed on my pally
