@mahburg if you seriously think the paladins is fine, that must be the player stupidity your talking about.
Nice exactly the attitude from Cod that is infecting this game, there is nothing wrong with the paladin they are working as intended, sure they will be a pain in PVP and I understand the valid concerns of those who do PVP, the snag is the nerf babies arent specific about this, they whine for a total nerf rather than going after the root cause which would be a restructure of PVP so everyone goes in at the same level and with the same skillsets. That way no nerfing of the base classes need to occur. I was on the receiving end of the GWF nerfing and kicked from countless dungeons because of it. Class Nerfing just makes the work in building that Toon pointless and causes more dissatisfaction in the player base.

Invincibility for that long has no place in any game especially one like this, being able to perm be invincible as well as your team mates is why I`m not even interested in trying PvP really, it makes PvE fairly boring too.

If we really want to get down to the reason Tiamat is so hard we need to look at player mentality. Tiamat is supposed to be done in 5 groups of 5, with classes supporting each other via buffs and assisting in the downing of Tiamat with debuffs.
Unfortunately the vast majority of well geared players are only interested in one thing: having the highest personal damage dealt. The raid is just fine as is, and we deserve to fail as many as we do, until we start working together. If one trickster rogue can kill Lostmauth in 17 seconds with good buffs and debuts from his group then there is zero reason we should have trouble downing 3 heads in 2 minutes
Group up, play as a team, easy win. Continue running around with your head up your bum trying to be the highest damage dealer in an instance and don't be surprised when you fail more often than not. And don't be surprised when you can't beat demogorgon either. Raids are end game TEAM BASED combat, especially in DnD, a game literally built around the party mechanic.
That's some bs. That's why I never bothered is because I'm only interested in tier 4. Also from the website I believe it says it resets after each time Tiamat is challenged....
I went into Tiamat on my own today so there were quite a lot of randoms all over the place. Only a couple of pre-mades were in there that I can tell.
Anyhoo it went really well and just like old times, a couple of people posted to take them down on the 3rd run etc and we did. Really close call though when on the 3rd run the Green head killed a lot of people and I Fox`s Shifted off the cliff at 1 point lol.
So it is getting to the point where a bunch of randoms etc can kill it... just had to wait for more people to get their gear and boons etc.
I don't feel the difficulty needs to be dropped as such, I`ll run it a few more times to get a better idea though in case that was a fluke run. 1st time I have run it since Mod 6 dropped I think.

Would work if we could go with a pre-made group. Your thinking everybody in this game is willing to join parties, work as a team etc etc. No... people go there and thats it. If teamwork has to be taken into consideration then make it what it should be, a pre-made group that can go in the same instance.
And typing with a controller take forever, don't tell me to use that. And even if i had a keyboard, do you think it would make much a difference. The problem is the randomness of the encounter. Point.
What if as an event they started tiamat's hoad at tier 2 or 3 and it ran for 2-3 days? I bet that would get ppl back in the well of dragons and spice it up abit
I went in on a bunch last night. Came really close on 3 of them to completion. When I died, I found people just chilling out in the building. Seems like afk'ers are ruining the kill somewhat. I can see standing back if it is an obvious fail, but slacking when it's almost beat - not cool.

I can't answer for others, but what I can tell you is that lag is very real. Some people think I'm afking while in fact I'm lagging so much that I can't move for more than 10 minutes. It might not be obvious, but I can't know whether I'll lag or not. If I could peek into the future and see that I would lag then I wouldn't join tiamat, sometimes I lag sometimes I don't. I hope you're not blaming players for the horrible set of servers they have put together. If you don't lag, then consider yourself very lucky.
Maybe they should raise the min item level for tiamat to 2500 and allow player kicking so players from other instances can migrate to it. I also think that leaving the instance on your own should result in a 30 min queueing penalty.
As it stands you need incredible luck to do it -- it might be easier to find a lostmauth horn in elol than to finish tiamat on xbox with pug -- but someone with access to the actual data could disprove me.
@mahburg There are various threads with some real info on both xbox and pc forums, paladin is not working as intended, paladin is not supposed to be perma invicible. Anyone who enjoys running a dungeon or pvp with almost 0 chance of dying, where you can litterally just stand anywhere impervious to any damage and mash buttons, has a real problem, because that cant be fun. Paladins were a neccesity when mod 6 first launched with the enemy arp bug, but there not anymore. People have just forgot how to dodge or move in any sort of tactical manner. Long story short, the class is broken, if you bothered to have a look around, there are various threads with video pointing out exactly what is broken.
I totally agree with you. It's obvious that a lot people have become dependent on having an OP in the group. They - as they always say - "NEED" an OP to complete the run and quits after 1-2 tries. That's people who doesn't move out of the red, who doesn't know how and when to dodge. They just stand there pounding away in the same spot until they die. And when i use my alt, a DC, i get all the blame of course. The fact that they're pretty dumb is never an issue. So yeah. The OP (along with the SW and that ridiculous high dps/aggro perma puppet) needs a serious nerf. Invincibility (or God Mode) have no place in any game really. I never NEED any other class when i run. It makes things easier to have an OP and a DC, but i never NEED them.
Although i can argue that an OP is somewhat needed in this game because of the terrible frame rate, the invisible red marks and the red marks that hits you and/or pulls you back in when you've clearly gotten out of the way.

Again missing the point, you are free to play how you wish, however for many players the fact that general Ads can one shot in certain circumstances is patently unfair to some players, especially those ranking up. I main a Gwf who incidentally has to stand in the red when hitting the boss (it is their job after all) I can survive there without an OP without much issue. However when I run my Pally it is to typically help out others. Feel free to leave any Run I am in with my Pally (3K plus) I wont feel insulted Same when I run my Haste Cleric just Bail and play how you want, it is a free world in gaming after all
Let's be fair here. People complain about the SW's puppet but that's all we have. My SW is a soulbinder and I still do 65% of the DPS output and remain #1 for DPS. Our class needs a buff on many levels before any changes should be made to our soul puppets. First off every class has a way to avoid CC and dodge yet the SW is practically stuck with dealing with it. Soul slip doesn't always work where other classes can simply side step the problems. Overall the SW needs a complete buff before you start raging about it needing a rework or debuff. And let's not even start on PvP as we are always lowest on the totem pole and attacked first as an "easy kill".
Maybe Tiamat is a bit easier lately due to people having geared up more since double AD/Refinement happened. Personally i never got there again since i got my achievement, just as i said i would do... I may try it once or twice again in the futur to see... when i myself have geared in the 3K... but thats all.

Fortunately I've never lagged in Tiamat, in fact I only really ever lag in over filled Wells #1 lol. Hope it gets better on your side
